This is an example of a restaurant resting to heavily on the ambiance of its location. The vista of Goose Rocks Beach is intoxicating, but not enough to mask the very disappointing dining experience. The menu is very limited. Ordered the Chowder to start. The small diced potatoes were under cooked. Taste was ok, but definitely not traditional. It came topped with two tiny clam fritters that were all dough. My husband had the wedge salad that was actually a pile of leaf lettuce, not a wedge. Another member of our party ordered the macaroni and cheese with carmelized onions. This was good. The pasta was orecchiette. The entrees to follow could have actually been appetizers based on their portion size. My salmon was dry and overwhelmingly tasted of citrus. No salmon flavor could be found. But the most disappointing aspect was that the chef rolled the small portion of salmon concealing the brown side as the center. VERY unappetizing discovery as you cut into it. The other members of my party had various (tiny) cuts of beef that were undistinguished. Overall, the experience was poor. I would strongly recommend that you drive on by. Not worth the expense. On a positive note, the waitress was lovely.
