“great place”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

My boyfriend and I took our very large dog on a trip to Maine. We all including our dog were so happy to stay here. The people at the front desk were great. We didn't get the best room since it was hidden away behind the main entrance. We did have a dog so maybe that was one of the few dog rooms. It didn't smell like previous rooms for dogs like we have been in. The price is a little expensive compared to what other places were charging. The sheets on the bed were not the best. At times I felt like I was sleeping in sand paper bed. The breakfast had a few choices. Overall this was the best dog room we have ever got.

Room Tip: Try to not get the room behind the main entrance. The door next to ours kept on slamming in the morn...

Spent T, F, S night for the first family trip / weekend getaway to Miane. Rooms were clean and updated, staff was friendly as well as helpful and the location was just right (10 to 20 minutes to most everything). Continental breakfast was included and the #4 Shoreline Explorer stop is right in front. Salt water pool was refreshing!

Stayed for one night in August while in town for a wedding. It was the only place nearby where I could find a room available. I booked based on previous positive reviews and found them to be accurate. Staff was helpful, rooms were clean and all was recently updated so although it's a motel style building it feels like a much nicer place.

Awesome experience all around! From check in to check out everything was perfect. The staff was beyond helpful, the pool was great and clean. The rooms were HUGE, with everything we needed in it. The beds were so comfortable. It felt like home away from home. The hotel was perfectly located to beaches, restaurants and shopping. I am so excited to plan my return trip to the Port Inn! Thank you for a great weekend getaway. I HIGHLY recommend anyone planning a trip to Maine stays here!

Room Tip: Any room would be a good choice!

Great job on the renovation. Made it seem like new. Only drawback was we had a first floor room and the people upstairs were loud walkers late into the nights. The walls were thick but the floors thin. Get a upstairs room if you are a light sleeper like me.

Other than that, great room, very spacious and comfy bed. Nice bathroom and a pool outside.

This place is really great. They put a lot of time and energy into the renovation. The decor is beautiful- rivals a doubletree. Staff was exceptional - every one of them. Rooms were brand new everything and spotless. Comfy mattress and quiet A/C. A great value, especially considering the area.

Our family of four just came back from a three night stay at the Port Inn. The location was the perfect home base for us to explore Kennebunkport, Wells Beach, Old Orchard Beach and the Kittery outlets. The clerk at the front desk when we checked in was courteous and helpful when we asked touristy questions about the area. The room was fresh and clean, and a VERY minor issue was corrected literally within a minute of asking for help. The pool is very small, and when more than two families are in the pool area it felt a little awkward, but it was very clean and there were plenty of chairs for relaxing poolside. We came back from our beach trips every night to a beautifully cleaned room, re-stocked with big white fluffy towels and comfortable beds. The continental breakfast was mostly carbs- as you might expect-, but the coffee was good and hot, and the staff was very attentive to replenishing the breakfast items as needed. The eating area itself is inadequately small, but they encourage you to grab your coffee and muffins and take them on the go if you wish, which we did! Overall, this was a great experience. At checkout, the clerk asked us about our stay and most hospitably remarked that she hoped we'd stay with them again... and we definitely would.

Room Tip: We had Room 201 on the back corner. It was so nice and quiet, with just three parking spaces off to...
