One would not expect to find good Mexican food in Maine, but Pedro's is very good. It is fun place. Decorated in loud colors with sombreros on the ceiling and skeletons in the corners. It is a very popular place and it can get quite loud in the restaurant.
It was strange that they charged for chips and salsa, but once we tried it we were happy to pay the tab. The salsa is roasted and has a very unique and wonderful flavor. My wife had a veg burrito which was huge and very tasty. I had a pork enchilada with beans and rice. It had a kick to it and was very good.
Friends who spend considerable time in Mexico tell us the food is quite authentic; I just know that it is very good.
