Soup was just like it is back in Ireland! Awesome! Shepards pie not so much and steak tips were terrible (tough and poor quality)! Everything needed seasoning. We wanted to really love this place but we were really disappointed... Try other restaurants in the kennebunk area- might be a better deal...

Wow Kelly M, after 9 previous fabulous reviews we get received yours and this came as a surprise! Usually when we eat out and there is an ISSUE we take care of it by bringing it to the attention of the server!!!! We use top quality steak tips and this is the FIRST time that a steak tip dinner has been criticized !! As for our shepherds pie, this is our very own recipe that we have been using for the past 25 years ! We have had only excellent comments on our shepherds pie. You mentioned everything needed seasoning, we DO NOT use salt on anything in our kitchen. That is up to the palate of the person receiving the dish!! When asked how your food was, you said it was LOVELY !!! Please let us know at the time if you are UNHAPPY !!! We are VERY PROUD of what our chef does. She is a brilliant chef and will do all she can to please you her customers!!!! We strive to make everyone's visit a pleasurable one !!!!

For a long time, we had been told about Ryan's, but had always seemed to skip it. After the crowds had left town, we decided that it was time to give it a try. What a mistake it had been to not get to Ryan's earlier and more often. Without a question, the fish and chips was the best I have ever eaten, anywhere, anytime. My wife's hamburger was about the best we have had in Maine. We subsequently set up a small party at Ryan's, and they were exceptional! The waitress, Andrea, was fantastic, Joe, the owner, was great to work with. The bottom line was that everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, the service was great, and a great time was had by all.

It is a bit cramped downstairs but not overly so. Did not didne there but say the fish and chips and it was huge. Cozy and friendly people. Met some recently arrived friends of the owner from Shannon on EIN139. Authentic!

First time our posse ate here. Fish and chips were the best we have ever had. Beef stew was so tender the meat melted in your mouth. Bangers and Mash outstanding.
