I cannot say enough positive about the Elizabeth Rose House and the two hosts, Betsy and Paul. The room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The bed was perfect. Everything was very clean and functional. The location was accessible to so many things in Kennebunk and a quick car ride to Kennebunk Beach for a lovely morning walk. But most of all, the hosts were outstanding--warm, kind, thoughtful and just plain lovely people. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 5 days here and it was a wonderful place with charming people! The cost of these accommodations was quite reasonable. It's conveniently located just north of Kennebunk, about 5 miles north of Kennebunkport.

Room Tip: Back of the house is most quiet . . .

My fiance and I drove to Kennebunk Port in August 2016 and were considering and overnight visit rather than make the 90 minute drive home and lose a day. We made various calls to several B&B places we found. There were others at comparable prices but you make your initial decision on how the phone call goes. A very nice and friendly woman answered the phone as was very helpful with various questions we had. That's good enough for me to give a place a try. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by what can best be described as surrogate grandparents. We instantly felt comfortable. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable. We had some items to refrigerate and they showed us the guest fridge... "help yourself to a beer if you like." Cool! My fiance likes to meet people so it didn't take long before "grandma" and her were in full conversation. I appreciate good service. You have to be real to entertain your guests with time. If you don't want to spend $400 a night to be on the water and would rather spend your money on quality food and shopping, this is a great place to stay the night. We will absolutely be repeat customers.

Room Tip: They have various room options. If you have kids ask about the availability of the double room at the end of the hallway.

My stay at the Elizabeth Rose House was nothing short of magnificent. Betsy and Paul were so warm and accommodating. Needless to say, they educated me as to the many interesting sites to see and the many fabulous places to eat. Being with Betsy and Paul is like being with family. The House is so tastefully decorated and the accommodations were impeccable. I so wholeheartedly and without hesitation recommend everyone to make an effort to stay at the Elizabeth Rose House when in the area. Charming, charming and charming. Hi Betsy and Paul

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at this quaint B&B in Kennebunk. Paul and Betsy made us feel right at home from the beginning, telling us about the area and making great restaurant suggestions. Our room and adjoining bathroom were big and full of charm! The bed was so comfy. We were very pleased that there wasn't a 2-3 night minimum, as with some B&B's since we just needed to stay one night on our way back to Boston from other parts of Maine. The price was by far much less than we paid for other accommodations in New England. Betsy's homemade continental breakfast was much better than a hotel's free breakfast and all that we wanted. All in all, this sweet home made our stay in the beautiful Kennebunkport area perfect! We would definitely stay there again if in the area.
