“Where the locals go indeed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

We surprised a 90 year old friend that did not know we were coming from Daytona Beach, it was a great food a lot of fun , our friend did not want to eat her lunch but she did and enjoyed it. There is a lot to offer at Duffy's.

“Even picky eater 90-yr-old mom loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

My mom has to be the pickiest eater ever and we can almost never get her to eat lunch, but she ate most of her pot roast lunch! My husband raved about his reuben and I had the great lunch haddock (wow - the snap peas were awesome, too!). My mom's best friend had the pot roast, too, and her nephew had the clam chowder and something else (I forgot to see what it was). Another friend had the vegetarian mozzarella scali and loved it. All of us loved our meals which were very reasonably priced. The portions were filling and the service great as our server checked back periodically on whether we needed anything else. We did eat lunch on a rainy Sunday, so it didn't have the din others mentioned, but we can see why this would be a popular and packed place for dinner. The view outside the window of the waterfall over the dam makes this a pretty cool location. Bottom line: We will definitely eat here again !!

“First rate food if you don't mind the din.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

Well, food is very good, especially the baked haddock. the mushroom soup, and the bruschetta. But very ordinary rolls are an anomaly. The only real problems with this restaurant is that it can be quite busy so you may have to wait (worth it for the most part, depending on how long.) Also, it is quite noisy--sound projecting accoustics or something.

“Where the locals go...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

I have visited Duffys on several occasions. The atmosphere is very nice. Friendly service. Great place to even sit at the bar for a beer and local conversation.

On this trip we started with mozzarella sticks. The sauce was so good that we considered changing our orders to get an entree with the sauce on it.

Dinners varied among our group from wraps to burgers to turkey dinners. All excellent in taste and value for the money. Kids hot dog went over well with abundant fries. A new chef started last year and upped the ante considerably. From fresh cannoli to cream pies to traditional favorites, desserts are worth reviewing.

While this is a pub atmosphere first and foremost, the higher-end daily specials (usually a steak or seafood dish or two) are definitely worth a look and have been very good recently.

It has a good feel and great people. I recommend it.
