“Spectacular in every way!”
Reviewed January 31, 2011

We stayed for a week in log cabin #11 - directly next to main building. It was very spacious and comfortable and really had everything we could need. The main building housed the indoor pool and jacuzzi tub. The pool room was warm and the pool a pleasant temperature. The staff was exceptionally friendly and quite possibly the fastest check in I've ever experienced! Resort is just off the snowmobile trail and not 2 miles from Jackman center. We snowmobiled to Forks, Greenville, Pittston Farms and further. There are a few restaurants in Jackman or some within a quick ride that are fabulous. We loved the food at Lake Parlin Lodge, Eagles Nest and Northern Outdoors. I will definitely stay again at Mountainview. The only complaint I would never say out loud was that the heating pipes were a little noisy at night! But that's it! Really!

Our family stayed in the main lodge, not the cabins. The unit was spacious with a full kitchen. Nice view of the mountains off the back deck. The indoor pool and jacuzzi was very neat. The outdoor pool as also clean and the customer service at the desk was very helpful. We looked around and these accomodations are the best in the area by far. Moose watching was excellent on route #6,#16 heading about 1/2 way to Rockwood. Hiking, fishing, everywhere. Don't miss white water rafting on the Kennebec.

We are staying in the Main lodge. There is a kitchen, bedroom, dining room, living room and bathroom. It is very clean and updated. We were impressed.
The indoor pool and exercise room were not the best but when you have the wilderness around you there is no need to use it. There is an outside pool but it was to cold while we were here to even think about it.

First of all, you need to go there when the weather is good, because there is so much to do outside. Nature people would love it. Also, Canada is about 15 minutes north, so you could plan a trip to Quebec from Jackman as your base. The resort itself is undergoing renovations. The public areas like pool, lounge still need work, but the rooms are very clean and comfy. we stayed at the cabin - OMG! It was simply spectacular, it's a log cabin, but it is HUGE, three bedrooms, plus a loft and a pull out couch. washer and dryer in the cabin. Kitchen has all the necessary things. The view is breathtaking. It was wonderful, and to top if off we say a gorgeous moose right next to road! :)

My husband and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend with two of our friends. There is a small hotel, and four cabins. We were in one of the cabins. Absolutely gorgeous. A-frame style cabin, with 3BR/2BA. There was a full kitchen, and a jacuzzi tub on one of the bathrooms. The upstairs had the master suite with BR/BA and a loft with a futon. The living room has a gas fireplace and an open layout. The walls/flooring are all wood. Their is a huge deck out front. The windows faced a valley and there was a gorgeous view.

There is no internet in the cabin, but the main lodge does have free wireless.

We had a lovely time, the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
