We have a summer home in the area and have been past this establishment many times and never stopped. After reading an article in the Ellsworth American we stopped and do not regret it. Server was Chandler and she was very good and knew the menu. She forgot one drink refill and when asked took care of it right away and with an apology not an excuse that seems to be the norm of most servers today. The haddock chowder sampler was outstanding. Two of the five of use are not fish eaters. We loved it. Never knew there was fish in it. I could have taken a pot of it home. Appetizers (crab cakes, escargot) were excellent. Food was a little slow but we realized it was cooked to order and we were in no hurry. Steak was cooked as requested but could have used just a little more seasoning. The other thing we all liked was that the serving size was just right. We were not leaving with bags of food. Not one complaint. What we regret is we did not go sooner. This is now on out list of places to eat at when at our Maine home.
