Staying at Maple Hill Farm while visiting friends made our vacation thoroughly enjoyable! We were very impressed with the B&B. Scott and Vince made our visit pleasant and easy, accommodating our add-on day by moving our luggage to another room while we were out! The rooms were charming and comfortable, breakfast was fantastic (fresh muffins, great pancakes, perfect eggs), the grounds and setting are beautiful and serene. Maple Hill Farm will be our go-to place whenever we are in Maine!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in july, and we simply LOVED this place. Innkeepers Scott anc Vince are wonderfull people, the breakfast is awesome, the rooms great, the lamas SO cool, the garden som beautiful - in fact I'd like to go back right now. If you are looking for a relaxing stay, and want something peaceful - this is the B&B you should be staying at!

Great people, beautiful landscape, charming rooms! They have turkeys, Llamas, a horse and a hen house on the property. Watching the summer storms move accross the horizon was amazing. Very quiet, with every amenity. Short drive to town where there are lots of local food and botiques. I will be back!

The Maple Hill Farm greatly prides itself on its locale, service, and rooms. All are adequate and served our purposes as presented. We had quiet nights and good sleep. Thankfully the rooms do have AC as the nights were warm early on. The owners are appropriately present and friendly. Vince has a great folder of maps and directions to help you find your way around the area. The breakfast server was most welcoming and accommodating. The lamas are plentiful, but not necessarily cuddly – as lamas normally behave. The horse and sheep couldn’t have cared more or less about our presence. The array of solar panels and wind generator are admirable and commendable. We also admired the availability of options to accommodate smokers without disturbing other guests. The meeting spaces seemed to be well supplied. The guest kitchen and refrigerator was most appreciated. We didn’t take advantage of the bar, but did notice it seemed to be adequately supplied. We were not prepared for the hot tub, but witnessed others taking advantage of it. All in all a very serviceable location.

Room Tip: Some rooms are not ensuite.

We discovered Maple Hill Farm through Trip Advisor while looking for a place to stay in the area, and are we ever glad that we did! Scott and Vince are the perfect hosts and the other staff members were just as warm and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were out of this world and the hot tub was a particular highlight of our stay. Visiting the barn with their myriad of farm animals was fun and quite educational. Bravo guys, this was our first visit to Maple Hill Farm Inn but certainly won't be our last!

We held a retirement get-together at Maple Hill Farm and the assistance with the planning and the actual execution were wonderful. The room was set up just right; the food was really good and ample -- and even with pouring rain outdoors, the rural setting (and so close to town) was still tranquil and soul-satisfying. The owners were accommodating and very responsive - If we needed something, we had just to mention it. In fact, the service was so good that it wasn't even noticeable -- food appeared and was replenished smoothly as if by magic, used dishes and trash just disappeared, the "bartender" listened to every story there was....While at the same time, the owners prioritized and were clear about also meeting the needs of their bed and breakfast travelers so that the get-together did not interfere with them. They were exemplary in doing all this very well indeed.

My wife and I on the return of a long journey stumbled upon Maple Hill Farm in a google search. We really enjoyed our stay and Vince was the perfect host. I would highly recommend this establishment to any weary traveler or to people that are looking for a peaceful retreat! The value was also greatly appreciated. Very reasonable rates for what you receive.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 8 because it was on the first level and convenient. Although it may not be the bes...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Our reviews say it all. Serving the Augusta Maine area, Maple Hill Farm is a small boutique hotel (an intimate country inn, if you'd like to call us that!) that perfectly combines true eco-consciousness, country serenity, relaxing comfort, and fine amenities. Surrounded by acres of rolling fields and woods, including an active bird feeder and a barn full of llamas and chickens, we were named "One of the Best 5 Green Hotels and Inns" in New England by Yankee magazine in 2017, and also Maine's first certified "Environmental Leader" green lodging establishment with a huge solar electric array plus solar hot water and its own wind turbine. Huge double whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, and private decks accentuate some guest rooms. A sauna and outdoor hot tub beckon the guest to truly relax, along with full bar service, a full breakfast cooked to order, and personalized attention. EV charging stations, too! ... more   less
