Review of Prong Pond

Prong Pond

We went during the evening right until sunset, beautiful place to watch the sunset, quiet, semi secluded , dock into water to allow for deeper fishing, you take a small hike down a rocky path to get to the water, area to park your car at the top but it will not be in eyesight from the water

Scouted the place out read the reviews said is was nice and secluded from the winds. It was windy when we got there 9am
paddled to farthest end of pond with wind at our backs and our kayak sail up very fun! Saw huge beaver dam and den. Only 2 small camps on pond lots of little coves to explore. Very challenging getting back to launch because of really strong winds!! Make sure you have map of pond to know where your going and how to get back.
Wind died down right after we got back to launch LOL!!!

I have kayaked and fished here several years. It is v easy to launch a boat or a kayak from the ramp and we have never had anything stolen from our truck while we were on the water. I have found no deep holes in the lake, mostly 6 to 30 feet. The day I was there recently I saw a fellow who had a 5 lb bass!!

This 'pond' (447 acres) has an interesting shoreline. It was very pleasant to paddle and explore. It does tend to get windy at times, I recommend going in the morning or evening.
