“Great food, good service & congenial atmosphere”
Reviewed August 9, 2010

As a special treat after two weeks on Moosehead Lake aboard our 19' sailboat, my partner and I treated ourselves to a dinner at the Greenville Inn. Almost any meal that didn't involve a Coleman stove, canned tuna or dried pasta would have been special, but our expectations for a gourmet experience were well exceeded.

The dining room is quite lovely--not too over-the-top Victorian which always puts us off most bed and breakfast attempts. While our young waitress was relatively new to fine dining service, she was attentive and eager to please. We enjoyed a nice moderately priced Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from the well appointed wine list and started our evening off with a cheese plate with fresh fruit. For dinner I ordered the sweet potato gnocchi and my partner had the scallop dish. Both entrees were fresh, not overly salted, and prepared with attention to all details. Our only disappointment was the creme brulee which was somewhat curdy and loose.

Our host, Jeff, served our wine, checked in with us at the appropriate time during our meal and chatted with us at length about the North Woods. He was very gracious and even offered to give us a ride back to the marina.

We were more that pleased with our evening out and intend to make an annual trip back to the lake next year to sail and dine once again at the inn.

“Lovely get-away spot. Gracious atmosphere, just wonderful!”
Reviewed May 30, 2010

Long weekend away May, 2010.Beautiful romantic room, excellent breakfast! Close to downtown and attractions. We booked a Moose Safari with a Maine guide, Chris Young, who was simply fantastic. We saw many moose and deer. The Inn was beautifully decorated and comfortable. It was heavenly to sit on the veranda reading and relaxing in the quiet. View awesome. Hosts Terry and Jeff were so gracious and accommodating. Room spotlessly clean and quiet. A great experience! Hope to go back someday.

“One of the nicest B & B experiences”
Reviewed October 4, 2009

My husband and I stayed at the Greenville Inn a few weeks ago. We had a fabulous experience. We stayed in the Casablanca Room, which was very quaint. The entire Inn was spotless and the owners were friendly and gracious. Sitting in the common areas was like taking a step back in time.

We booked a package "Stay and Dine". This included 3 nights lodging and 2 dinners (there is a restaurant at the Inn). The food was incredible!!! Our package also included breakfast each morning, which was just as delicious.

I highly recommend this B & B and would go back in a second!!! I think this would be an ideal place for a family reunion.
