“Spectacular.”
Reviewed June 30, 2012

Moosehead Lake is a huge lake in northern Maine. The water is crystal clear and the fishing is great. You will likely need a motor boat to get to where the fishing is good.
One heads up: This is a large lake, so the water can get rough at times. Be careful with canoes and kayaks especially with kids.

“Take a plane ride!”
Reviewed May 5, 2012

We were driving north to Quebec, and just stopped for a break and to look at the beautiful lake. It's so big and the hills are covered with trees, it looks kind of like a movie setting! Then we saw the sign for Jack's air tours. A quick phone call and in no time we were climbing into the prop plane.

WOW. Seeing the Lake from the air is so cool! It's not big - it's gigantic! All kinds of little islands and bays become evident, tiny summer houses tucked into places, boating skimming along the water. Our pilot even banked (sharply!) so that we could watch a moose stick it's head up out of the water where it was eating. So so cool!!!

Go, and take a plane ride!
