Description: 91 South featured an intimate dining room often with live music. Our cuisine integrates savory combinations from around the world into local fish, beef and produce. Our wine list boasts of 65 wines by the glass and almost 100 bottles priced at only $10 over suggested retail. Never again be taken to the cleaners with an overpriced bottle of wine.

PineCrest Inn and Restaurant is a treasure. Wonderful accommodations, tastefully appointed, in a quiet, yet central location near the Maine Turnpike. The inn's restaurant, 91 South, is outstanding, with exquisitely prepared food, delightfully presented, in an upscale pub/restaurant atmosphere. Breaksfasts are also fabulous. The ultimate gems: the owners and staff. Yes, we would go back in a heartbeat. Use this B/B as a location from which to travel around southern Maine.

91 South [both address & restaurant name] @ the pine crest inn is outstanding; food is freshly prepared, well flavored & spiced and quite eclectic. Most dishes are a mélange of flavors. We had: shrimp etouffee over rice-good, not too hot or over spiced & no skimping on the shrimp, also-chicken schnitzel with spaetzel-again freshly made, well flavored and just down right good. With a glass [or 2] of vinho verde made a great meal. Desert was carrot cake, made in house=great. Great place to come=only open Thurs-Sunday for dinner.
Well worth the visit!!!!

Just had our second dinner at 91 South, the name of the restaurant in the Pine Crest Inn. Once again, it was fantastic.

We shared an appetizer of shaved, raw Brussels sprouts topped with Parmegiano, honey, candied walnuts and pancetta. Fabulous! My husband HATES Brussels sprouts but he devoured this salad!

Our entrees were chicken schnitzel with spaetzle and veggies, and lobster with gnocci, asparagus and arugula in a tomato broth. While the gnocci was not the best I've ever had, everything else was delicious: fresh, perfectly cooked and gorgeous to look at.

We shared one inventive dessert: carmelized poundcake topped with blueberry goat cheese. Yum!

Prices are very reasonable, the room is pretty and service flawless. Why has this restaurant not been packed solid on the two Saturdays we visited? This is just as good as the most famous "foodie" hotspots in Portland -- in fact, much better than most of them -- and at much better prices, plus free and easy parking! This truly is Maine's undiscovered gem.

A must if you are in the area on the nights they are open. The atmosphere was as wonderful as the dishes we had.

Chef Mo Terry and Innkeeper Matt Mattingly have teamed up to offer a wonderful and unique dining experience. The food is terrific - interesting menu choices, deliciously prepared. The inn is cozy and personal, perfect for romantic getaway. I've enjoyed more than two dozen meals at the inn and have spent a few nights there as well. You won't be disappointed!
