It's not everyday you find an excellent restaurant with a view, but with Blue you get both. The food is gourmet in a relaxed setting in the Inn which is on the National Register of Historic Places. You can get there early and have a drink on their wide porch overlooking the water. So relaxing and beautiful.

This is very sophisticated cooking...combining the best of Maine and the best of the big city. Served with a smile by people who really want you to enjoy. It's really only 20 minutes from Bath - a beautiful drive down the Georgetown peninsula, and when you get there a beautiful view. But what really counts is that really good, interesting food, that terrific service, and some very nice wine and spirits at fair prices.

This restaurant is located in the Grey Havens Inn, which is in a spectacular location on the Seguinland Rd (Reid State Park road) in Georgetown.

The owner and staff are very pleasant and hospitable. Be sure to make a reservation. They are sometimes closed for private functions, The earliest reservation that we could make was at 7:15 on a Sunday night, but we came a little early, and sat on porch and in the lovely living room, where we were served beverages while waiting for our table.

Because of the late seating, they were out of several dishes, including the stuffed flounder, and the salmon. We had the local whitefish (hake), which was cooked perfectly and served with seasonal vegetables and pilaf ($18). Others in our party had the swordfish and the rack of pork ribs (about $32).
The menu is clearly marked for those on gluten free diets.

Be sure to go early to settle into the stunning view from the porch at historic Grey Havens Inn. Great cocktails lead to walking inside a beautifully restored living room in this 1904 Captain’s House. Locally sourced seafood, produce, and meat are featured in a diverse menu with ever changing specials. We went twice in a month and will count the days till we can come back next summer. It’s a special place to slow down and appreciate loved ones while immersed in one of nature’s great landscapes.

The food and service was EXCELLENT at Blue. I would highly recommend a visit. The setting is peaceful and remote. There was a good variety of choices of food and wine with a focus on locally sourced items.
