Well appointed bar and restaurant. We enjoyed the freshly made pizza which was cooked by the chef in the oven in the bar area, as well as lasagna, soup, pate .... and an excellent Thai Green Curry! Good and friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Recommended.

We were so excited to come to this restaurant but boy were we let down. Great building really draws you in and the open pizza kitchen sold me immediately. But as soon as I sat down it all went to pot. Took ages to get serves, Wrong drinks delivered, food took ages, and pizza was very poor quality. Olives tasted of brine, far too many toppings, cheese was poor quality and overall rubbish quality. I didn't finish it which is unusual for me, and therefore was reluctant to pay £35 for a meal I didn't enjoy. This place has the potential to be great, but the staff and cooks let it down. Such a shame

Having been to several restaurants in the area it was like an oasis of good food appearing on the horizon. we had to wait a while for the food and the staff were under pressure but it was worth the wait. Good tasting food, presented to a good standard and at a price worth paying, pop along you wont be disappointed

Ate at this restaurant a couple of times whilst staying at the Castle Sleeper Hotel. They have a captive audience for guests at the hotel as there isn't anything else around about. However, the menu is pretty varied, and food was good. It also serves as a pub for hotel guests. For hotel guests it is definitely a recommended restaurant as its over the road from the sleeping block. For passing trade it would also be worth a stop, though its not gourmet, fine dining, and comes in the category of pub style eating.
