Jumped in the car and just started driving for our anniversary. Found this gem of a Bed & Breakfast by chance, Tori & Robin were so welcoming and knowlegable about the area. The rooms are beautifully decorated and and roomy, it made it hard to choose which one to stay in. In room hot tubs, fireplaces, and even a large soaking tub, I felt like I was home. My fiance had never been to a B&B before, but he now doesn't want to stay anywhere else! He could have spent hours talking to Robin about his adventures. Breakfast was delicious and so plentiful. Close walking distance to everythingin downtown Freeport. Thanks so much Tori & Robin for helping to make our anniversary so special. Can't wait to stay again!

We are so pleased that we were part of your anniversary celebration and that you so enjoyed your stay. We always love to have "first time B&Bers" here and to learn that they are now ruined for anything but a B&B. That means we have done our job! It was great to meet you and to share stories with you. Hearing the fun and interesting things our guests have done is truly one of the best parts of what we do. Thank you for stumbling upon us and we look forward to welcoming you back to James Place Inn.

My husband and I planned a weekend getaway in Freeport and stayed at the James Place Inn. We were not very familiar with the area, but Tori and Robin shared with us all the great places to go, just like the "locals!"
Tori and Robin were absolutely pleasant and so easy to talk to and great cooks!!- breakfast was delicious. Our room was so cozy, we had a fireplace that was ready to be lit each night! Felt like we were at home!

Restaurants and shops were just steps anyway, everything was in walking distance!

We absolutely would stay at James Place Inn again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a New England get away!!

We are delighted to hear that your stay was everything you were looking for, from the food to the location and including advice from the "locals!" The fireplace in Pine room is quite nice this time of year, just to take the chill off. It was a pleasure to have you and your husband here and to have the chance to chat a bit.
Thank you for taking the time to share your views with others. We so appreciate it!

The owners Robyn and Tory are so wonderful. The rooms are so beautiful and very spacious. The breakfast was so delicious and they offer to cook other options if you would like something else. If we could spend a night or two each month I would. But we are already planning to return for our anniversary in August. Can't wait!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. You can view them all on line at their web site.

All the rooms are lovely, but we especially enjoyed some cozy time by the fire in the room we picked. The other rooms have even nicer decor and great light, some even have fantastic sky lights. The couple who runs it, Robin and Tori [I believe] are so nice and hospitable and fun to talk to. Robin is an unbelievable cook. We had Tori's homemade granola, fresh fruit, and yogurt; followed by a ham and swiss frittata with a potato crust IN ADDITION TO french toast made from Robin's homemade cinnamon swirl bread AND bacon and homemade raspberry maple muffins. It was so bountiful and every single aspect was delicious!! Walkability to the center of town - even on a frigid windy day - was a great bonus. Robin's restaurant recommendations were helpful and spot on.

We are so glad to know that you enjoyed you "babymoon" with your husband before the arrival of your second child. After almost eight years, we are always so pleased when our guests so enjoy themselves. We love what we do and enjoy watching others enjoy the leisure time. Thank you Zoe, for writing such a wonderful review and sharing your experience. Enjoy the new addition to your family and these early years.

My boyfriend and I were on a free-style New England road trip that started in Burlington, VT and took us through Freeport. Since we were keeping the trip a B&B themed event, we decided to stay at the James Place Inn based on Trip Advisor reviews and I have to say they earn their rating and then some! The Inn is charming and perfectly conforms to the romantic New England Bed and Breakfast ideal. The room was cozy and clean, and we were pleasantly surprised to have a private bathroom and kitchenette. The features that stand out the most however are the hospitality and amazing food. Robin was a great host and provided entertaining stories and local insider tips and his wife Tori was kind enough to remove the snow from our car when it snowed overnight – the whole atmosphere is one of extended family and genuine hospitality (Robin even advised us upon checkout to call him if we ran into any trouble on the ride home since more snow was predicted). The breakfast also deserves honorable mention… Robin’s culinary skills are worthy of his own cooking show – we were blow away by the spectacular breakfast array, ALL home-made from scratch. My favorites included Sausage Quiche, French Toast made from home-baked cinnamon bread, baked beans with rich sauce and thick cut bacon (best I’ve ever had!), and heavenly custom blended coffee. We will definitely be back!

Wow - thank you so much! We are so glad that you chose to stay with us and that you were rewarded with such a great experience. We are always pleased when guests feel so at home here at James Place Inn as that is our goal. We are also glad to hear how much you enjoyed the breakfast. As his wife, I will agree that his baked beans are the best! When he makes them, I often sneak a bowl at 6am:-)
We certainly appreciate you taking the time to write such a wonderful review of your time here with us. We look forward to welcoming you back.

We stayed for one snowy night in one of the rooms with a fireplace. The room was lovely, the owners were attentive and helpful (but never intrusive) and breakfast was delicious. The owners kindly extended an offer to leave our car on the property even after we'd checked out, so we wouldn't have to search for another space amidst the snow.

My fiance and I booked this trip for Valentines Day. A horrible winter storm created road conditions that gave me a flat tire the moment we took off. We had called Tori and Robin, knowing we wouldn't arrive until late that evening. They left the door open for us and gave us directions so we knew exactly what to do! I had asked Tori to help me out with a Valentine's Surprise for my fiance, so there was a six pack of Sea Dog IPA (his favorite) and a plate of brownies when we arrived.
Room: We stayed in the Yellow room, which we would recommend to all. It's at the end of the hallway upstairs, so you feel secluded. The Jacuzzi tub is a super nice treat and fit the two of us comfortably. The yellow decor made the room bright and really added to the atmosphere!

Food: WOW! Robin is a fantastic chef. I suggest his blueberry maple muffins, my favorite. Breakfast starts at 8:00am, and it was so nice to walk in and have Tori remember us and have my coffee and Travis' orange juice ready. Assorted quiches and hot breakfast items are amazing!

Hospitality: I cannot say enough about their hospitality. It snowed the day before and the day while we were there. Robin even shoveled off my car for me! We had asked for some recommendations of local tourist attractions and they gave us the right places to go. Hint: Moose sightings are two hours north in the early mornings as Tori will tell you, so if that's what you want to do, be prepared for a drive in the wee morning hours. We will do that next time!

It is evident that Robin and Tori respect their inn, and respect their guests. They are gracious hosts and we will be sure to stay here again. The inn is clean, easy to get to, located in a prime location where you can walk to the shops on Main Street, and overall a delightful experience. The room was quiet, and despite the full inn, I never heard another guest. Thank you so much for your hospitality, and we cannot wait to see you again.

Room Tip: The yellow room is on the 2nd floor. You have to go outside to get to the part of the inn where the...
