Description: The Corsican Restaurant is conveniently located just around the corner from L.L. Bean in the historic district and jewelry section of town at 9 Mechanic Street, in an original 1800's carriage house. We have two dining rooms and a new outdoor patio dining area. We serve sandwiches, salads, pizza, homemade soups and chowders, Blueberry pie, lemon layer cake, warm gingerbread and more. Our specialty is fresh delicious food served in a friendly Maine atmosphere. We also have gifts, Maine memorabilia and Angel from Maine ornaments.

“Very nice lunch that catered well for meat eaters, vegies and gluten free”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Glad we didn't go to Linda Bean's restaurant on the main street. It has prime location but the food looked uninspiring and tasteless. Corsican, down a side street, was very good for lunch. We all enjoyed our meals. They have a good selection for meat eaters, vegies and gluten free eaters, friendly service and reasonably priced. They brought the worn main out for one of us but replaced it very happily and quickly. a quaint family type restaurant. I recommend it to anyone wanting to take a break from the boredom of shopping!

Always fabulous food, love their fish chowder! Our favorite spot anytime we're in Freeport! Their lobster roll is also wonderful! And please, do not forget dessert!

“Great service and very healthy food”
Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant has a fairly extensive menu. The food that we ordered was broiled salmon and haddock. The food came with rice and broccoli. The salmon was over cooked and the haddock was quite bland. The food was healthy but not that enjoyable. Service was excellent. The restaurant is located in an old home and is very small - nothing special. It's not a bad place to go but wasn't what we really wanted. If you are looking for healthy, bland food it could work. We would not go there again.
