Description: Our waitress forgot our coffee & lines were long for popovers/prime rib otherwise I would have given 5 stars for service/ambiance. This was our 2nd time. Celebrating my b'day weekend. We were here a year ago & absolutely loved it. The variety of food from lobsters, prime rib, eggs cooked in various ways, dansom plum champagne infused smoothie soup with creme with mint to the absolutely yummy chocolate decadence cake, blueberry pie & so many other desserts are only some of food served at this delicious Sunday brunch. We will definitely go there again next time we're in Freeport, Maine. It's in the Harraseeket Inn. I've had Sunday brunches at other 5 star hotels in USA including Hawaii, Europe, Japan & Canada but this brunch beats them all

“Not Our Cup of Tea”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

My wife and I met some friends here on our last night in Freeport for some dinner. We didn't make a reservation and had to wait a while. This is a newer place and it seems like they are still working out some of the kinks in the restaurant. Our food was good, the portions were small for the dollar you were paying. It was nice to not have to leave the hotel for dinner, because it was snowy outside and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting.

“It's Nice To Have A Choice”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Whether staying at the Harraseeket or looking for a place to have a quaint dinner for two, The Maine Dining Room is always a nice interlude from the other pub and chowder houses. The room is quaint and tasteful, the menu has a wide array of choices, and the food and ambiance is well worth it. The Waitstaff is always fabulous and friendly. If you have ever stayed at the Harraseeket, you know that this is the same dining room used for the wonderful breakfast buffet. Can't wait until our next trip!!!

“Lukewarm”
Reviewed December 31, 2012 via mobile

We were there on New Year's Eve for a nice dinner with family. It really missed the mark. Three of the dinners were lukewarm and the scallops undercooked. Disappointing.

“Great Place to Dine”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

We recently ate dinner at this wonderful restaurant. On a cold and snowy evening, we were seated next to a beatifully decorated fireplace which warmed us right up. The lobster appetizers were wonderful and the braised pork short ribs were delicious. Can't wait till nex year.
