All of the descriptions of this property were right on, and the owners clearly have taken every step they can to differentiate themselves from the "typical" Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn Express, - pick any chain you like. While, from the outside, this appears to be cut out of the same mold, look more closely...The finishes (paint, etc.) are far superior, and the on the inside....beautiful attention to detail, much more quality choices in carpets, furniture, etc. The breakfast nook is beautiful, with an outside secluded patio to enjoy. A lovely "Maine cabin-esque" sitting room for quiet days or nights....and all this just minutes away from the outlet "mecca" of Freeport and LLBean. The room was extremely well appointed, and clean -smelled clean, was clean. The A/C worked superbly. I feel like I'm rambling on here...but, if you don't stop here, you're missing an amazing property and value. You WILL pay much more in Freeport...In reality,it will take A LOT more to beat this property.

Room Tip: We stayed in the back section of the hotel - king room, ground floor - just lovely !

After reviewing the fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor for Casco Bay Inn, we decided to book a room. We stayed at Casco Bay on August 22 and were greeted at the front desk by a lovely young lady who was very welcoming. She reviewed our reservation, explained the amenities, and directed us to our room. The lobby area was nicely decorated and included a sitting area, a couple of displays with brochures, local maps, and a desk with a computer for guests. We stayed on the first floor in a very spacious room with a king-size bed, flat-screen TV, frig, microwave, and large window that brought in plenty of beautiful sunlight. The room was extremely clean, furnishings were quite nice, and it was quiet all night long. The next morning, we ventured to the Breakfast Room which was very large and freshly decorated. Breakfast included a variety of bagels, bread, and English muffins along with cereal and instant oatmeal. Orange juice and Green Mountain coffee were also available. Shopping in Freeport was three miles down the road and Portland was approximately twenty minutes. The Casco Bay Inn is the only place to stay in Freeport!

Attracts an older demographic, possibly because there is no pool. Hotel is clean, quiet and reasonably-priced. Short drive to Freeport and Portland, quick access to highways. Staff were pleasant. Laundry room is a plus.

We found Casco Bay Inn on the internet and got a very good price. With the low price we were not expecting to find a place as nice as this was. We were given a first floor room on the back side that had a very convenient secure entrance. The room was spacious and included a frig and micro wave. It was very clean and had recently been renovated so most everything was new. The staff was also very friendly and were very happy to help whenever asked. The breakfast was continental style and had a good variety of things. If you left hungry it was your own fault. It's not fancy but, it's convenient, close to activities and reasonable. I will not hesitate to stay here again when I'm in the area.

I stayed there for one night. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they had computers for use. The room was a very nice size and had everything you would need. The only problem was that the room wasn't very clean - as an example, there was a long hair on the front of the toilet bowl. Since cleanliness is what I value most in a hotel, it definitely made me uneasy.

I was pleasantly surprised at Casco Bay Inn. Their special rate was so low, compared to everything else on the Maine coast, that I wondered what it would be like. It was very nice, the best deal of our vacation, clean, spacious, comfortable.

My husband and I stayed at the Casco Bay Inn in July 2013 for one night while passing through Freeport. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and check-in was a breeze. Compared to the price of other hotels in town, Casco Bay is a great deal, and while some parts of the hotel are a little dated (like the hallway), it's a clean, quiet hotel. Our room was in the corner on the rear side of the building and we didn't hear any traffic or other guests. The room was a nice size, had a flatscreen tv, small fridge, and Keurig coffee maker. Complimentary continental breakfast was provided. If we ever pass through the cute town of Freeport again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
