My daughter and I stayed at White Cedar Inn two nights the first week in October.
We had the suite upstairs, done in blues and reminding me of my home and my grandma's upstairs. The room, bed and pillows were so comfortable. They made for a great night's sleep.
Monica and Rock are lovely hosts. Breakfasts were pretty and delicious. The house is a lovely old Maine home, easy walking to shopping and good restuarants. The neighborhood is quiet, with large old trees. I would certainly stay there again if I were in Maine.

Thank you Joye! We appreciate your taking time to write a review.

The Crow's Nest is definitely one of the rooms our guests like the best.

Keep us in mind if your travels bring you back to Maine!

We stayed at the White Cedar Inn the first weekend in October. Monica and Rock were very nice and informative. Our group especially enjoyed the outdoor space that was available - lots of different areas throughout the yard to sit and enjoy the fall day. Thank you Monica and Rock.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we appreciate your comments! Glad your group enjoyed themselves, you were all certainly a joy to have staying with us.

There is almost an acre of grounds here for our guests to use. You had some gorgeous weather to take advantage of the outdoor spaces.

If you're ever in this neck of the woods again, we'd love to have you stay.

We stayed at White Cedar Inn on September 15 and 16. It was a great experience! We were in the Winthrop Fogg Suite. Monica and Rock were great hosts. Breakfasts were great. The Inn is located a 5 minute walk from downtown Freeport. Rock made many suggestions for our visit and they were all great. Would highly recommend the White Cedar Inn.

We had a chance to go back to Freeport this summer and once again stayed at the White Cedar Inn. We returned because it feels like home, with the addition of a cook, a maid, and a concierge! Breakfasts cooked by Rock hit the spot - homemade, tasty and plentiful, not tiny froufrou dishes. Our room was clean and had been updated since our last visit with comfy chairs. Monica helped us with the all the good local places for lobster! We were very happy we came back and will be sure to stay at the White Cedar Inn on our next trip.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice but we like the Winthrop Fogg room with the king bed.

Very happy to have you back again! It's always fun to catch up on what our guests have been doing since the last time we saw them. We'll have to try some of the places you suggested in Charleston next time we're there!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. We really appreciate it.

We recently stayed at the White Cedar Inn and found it to be a lovely experience. I consider my husband a bit of a hotel "snob" and am always leery when booking a bed and breakfast. When we arrived, Monica and Rock gave us a quick tour and we were checked into the beautiful Winthrop Fogg room. The decor reminded me of my grandma's house complete with quilt, lace curtains and antique dresser. Very cozy, especially in the afternoon when the breeze came through the windows and blew through the curtains. The home and grounds were well maintained and was picture perfect with trees and benches. The location was just great with just a 2 block walk to the heart of the L.L.Bean shopping outlets. Rock suggested we try a newer restaurant on Main Street called the Tuscan (brick oven) Bistro. I'm surprised it didn't come up on TripAdvisor when I searched Freeport dining but let me say - it is a "must" if you are "foodies" like we are. Excellent true lobster bisque, pasta dishes and brick oven pizza. The atmosphere alone made you want to come back. Lounge areas, upscale bar area and cozy high-backed chairs in the dining area. We went back a second time and were so disappointed to learn that they didn't have this restaurant anywhere in Michigan.
In summary, we are very happy to have chosen the White Cedar Inn and we thank Monica and Rock for doing such a lovely job! We hope to return next year!

Thank you so much for the lovely review! We're glad you liked the restaurant suggestion. As it is the only one, not a chain, you'll have to come back again. (And maybe try one of the other 15 restaurants in town!)

You may be surprised by your room next year as it is getting a complete makeover in January!

My Family and I recently stayed at the White Cedar Inn for five days. We are from Oklahoma, and we weren't sure how difficult planning a trip from so far away would be. Monica and Rock made the planning process very easy. Anytime I called with advice about our plans Monica and Rock were very helpful and friendly when answering my questions. Their suggestions and advice made our trip one of the most wonderful trips that I am sure will live in my Family's memories for years to come.

The Inn is warm and inviting with many room options. One of the reasons we chose the White Cedar Inn was due to the fact that they had an adjoining room (the crew's quarters). We also had rented the Winthrop Fogg (all 3 rooms are next to each other on the 2nd floor).

After a long day of travel we were met with a warm greeting from Monica at the front door. Check-in was quick and easy, followed by a tour of the Inn. The next morning we were greeted with a fabulous breakfast, prepared by Rock. It seems that as fabulous as the first morning's breakfast was, every one after was just as fabulous.

Anytime we had questions about where to go or how to get there Monica and Rock were on hand to answer them for us and provide us with directions for the easiest way to get there.

I would absolutely recommend the White Cedar Inn. As a matter of fact, I have given the website and phone number to many friends and coworkers thinking about taking a trip to Maine. If I am ever back in the Freeport ME area, the White Cedar Inn will be the first call I make when starting the planning process.

Our stay with Monica and Rock was super from the time we checked in until our departure, even the weather was perfect. Rock's breakfasts were a great start to each day and always varied with plenty to eat. Monica is so very knowledgeable about Maine that we felt we had our own personal travel guide. Very much deserves a return visit. The Lobster Boat trip was likely the highlight of our visit.
