Owner description: Maine state park that offers a scenic walk along Casco Bay.

The Casco Bay Trail was an easy walk to the ocean. The trail was a walk in the woods with steps down to the rocks and an ocean view. Thanks to a tip from the ranger, we were able to see the baby ospreys.
You do need to bring bug repellent because of the mosquitoes. If we stopped for an instant, they were on us so we kept moving. Some people complained about the entrance fee, but we did not mind supporting Maine's parks.

Our family stopped while in Freeport. Nice walk and hike and view of the Atlantic. Would come again.

This was a cool place to go if you enjoy some light hiking. There were a lot of trails, some along the coast of the Casco bay. There seemed to be picnic areas and a lot of people with dogs. The only annoying thing was the price to get in...4$ a person.

This state park includes picnic tables and walking trails, not much else. $4.50 a person for out of state is a bit pricey since there is nothing but walking trails. The trails are nice and clean and easy for non-hikers.

Beautiful, easy trails with peaceful scenery. Lots of lovely ocean views. The longest trail is just under 2 miles, but if you want a longer hike, I believe the total of all the trails is around 5 miles. Casco Bay trail will take you up where you can get a good view of the bird sanctuary and try to catch a glimpse of the ospreys.
