“Nice costal walking trails”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

This was a cool place to go if you enjoy some light hiking. There were a lot of trails, some along the coast of the Casco bay. There seemed to be picnic areas and a lot of people with dogs. The only annoying thing was the price to get in...4$ a person.

“Nice State Park, a little pricey for what you get”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

This state park includes picnic tables and walking trails, not much else. $4.50 a person for out of state is a bit pricey since there is nothing but walking trails. The trails are nice and clean and easy for non-hikers.

“Lovely park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

Beautiful, easy trails with peaceful scenery. Lots of lovely ocean views. The longest trail is just under 2 miles, but if you want a longer hike, I believe the total of all the trails is around 5 miles. Casco Bay trail will take you up where you can get a good view of the bird sanctuary and try to catch a glimpse of the ospreys.

“State Park for Quiet Contemplation of Nature”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2013

This 233-acre (94.3 hectare) State Park has a 5-mile (8 km) network of trails on both sides of Wolfe’s Neck Road. Interpretive signs on park trails discuss both history and nature. Among onsite amenities are picnic table pavilions, charcoal grills, and rest facilities. Well-marked and easily hiked trails meander thru mixed woodlands along the shores of Casco Bay and Harraseeket River. Surfaces range from gravel to compact dirt to outcrops and ledge. A barrier-free trail leads to a vista point for admiring the Park's famous summer-nesting osprey offshore on Googins Island. Cousins and Eagle Islands are also viewable from shore. Low day use fees (under $5 per adult) make this Park a great bargain for families on a summer vacation. If you enjoy quiet contemplation of nature, this coastal treasure is just the place for you!
