Stayed two nights in room with a shower room. Bedroom was OK. Bathroom was very small but with an excellent shower. The hand basin is in a corner and is only 10 inches diameter. No shaving mirror. Downstairs is fine. Donna the host is very friendly and most helpful. Breakfast is good. The other two bedrooms upstairs shared a bathroom which was good.

Room Tip: Ask for a large bathroom ( may be shared ).

Had an enjoyable stay at the Quaker Tavern B&B. Donna, the owner, served us a great breakfast and accommodated our wishes and needs to the utmost. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of space in the room, with excellent bathroom facilities. If you are looking for a good night's sleep with great hospitality, I recommend the Quaker Tavern B&B.

We stayed at the Quaker Tavern on our way up to Acadia national Park. This is a beautiful Old house dating back to the 1700s. It is filled with antique furnishings and is situated on a large plot of land. The rooms are simple, but very comfortable. The innkeeper gave us a choice of which room we wanted when we arrived. Breakfast was a combination of fresh fruit, freshly baked bread, pancakes. it was delicious! We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Maine.

Donna got up early to make us a strawberry-rhubarb pie as an addition to our regular breakfast! It was a very special treat from a very special lady. Donna made us feel at home and gave us the whole house to enjoy, although she could have taken more bookings for that night.

If you are wanting to stay in the Portland area, drive a little out of the way for a unique experience.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the king bed.

The family were greeted by Donna &family like we were old friends. The house is like living in a true movie set & at any time you expected to suddenly see a camera crew. Accommodation was authentic American history.
The food was pure quality, the children ate till they could eat no more & we were all waved off on the rest of our journey with extra cookies & doughnuts in case anyone got hungry all the way.

Room Tip: They are all so unique, each is wonderful. So not a mind numbing hotel room.

Stayed with Donna in February when she opened the house early just to accommodate us meeting us with tea and cookies. This is a beautiful old house full of character (not just Donna) and the family loved staying here. A fabulous chance to experience american architecture up close and enjoy many interesting & honest conversations with Donna. The rooms are well laid out with many antiques, crisp linen & comfortable chairs. Breakfast was lovely in the front room with special attention paid to everyones diet.
Will visit again

On an unexpected business trip up to Maine (our first visit to Maine) recently we decided to try something other than a standard hotel room to make it seem a little more special. We read about Quaker Tavern B&B and it seemed fun to stay in a house built in 1780. We found the house to be a lovely historic old house in a beautiful section of the country. But the reason that we would return is because of the delightful hostess, Donna Little. She is one of those people who is warm and inviting and comfortable in her own skin. She made us a delicious breakfast of farm fresh eggs, homemade bread and jam and we greatly enjoyed our conversation and the connection.

Room Tip: One of the rooms has a private bath in it
