“Good Inexpensive Food”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Chain restaurant, but value can't be beat. Food was good and just enough--not overfilled "what will I do with the leftovers on vacation?" And the pastries and ginormous muffins - WOW!

“Totally Worth Celebrating their Anniv. for a $5.55 Lobster Roll!”
Reviewed July 12, 2014

This place was crowded, but it was worth eating lunch here on June 17, because we got lobster rolls for $5.55 apiece. They were delicious and full of tasty lobster pieces. We thought we might get a "mini" version, but these were full size and delightful. The place was humming with people buying amazing items from the bakery case, or eating in, like we were. They ran specials all June long, and we thought it was great fun to participate while on vacation. Manager was friendly and accomodated our group of 8 nicely.

“Deserts to die for.”
Reviewed July 9, 2014

The food is normal American type stuff but with a home-cooked flair.
Young children will love celebrating their special occasions as they become the Engineer of the day - where they place the Child's name on an elevated large -scale train that travels around near the ceiling.
Be sure to sign up for the Go Gov card and earn points for a reward and an annual $7 birthday gift during your month.
If eating in - Skip the desert, although the shakes are great! Get your desert at the refrigerated display case on the way out - we got 4 things last night for $8! All out of this world. I love their Potato Candy (a LARGE Needham) at room temperature.

“Sure. Reliable. ”
Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

on our way to Acadia National Park we stopped here for some lunch. it wasn't bad, in fact quite good. I like the Governors because they're spread out throughout the state and you always know what you're gonna get, good food and good dessert.

“Specific Gluten free menu”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

Having to eat gluten free, this restaurant was most helpful, providing a menu to us with gluten free choices as well as offering other choices depending on food allergies. The food is very good and the wait staff was great.
