“Nice food, good value”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Finn's is a typical local Irish restaurant with the standard fare and lots of beers. I had the fish and chips. The fish was prepared well it came with Finn's chips, which are thick cut potato chips. I thought they were god- very crunchy. I had a local ale and the total bill was only $16. Nice place with friendly service.

“Awesome!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

We stayed in Ellsworth for 3 nights and had dinner at Finn's every night. Although the menu is limited, the food is wonderful. The waitress staff is friendly and efficient. The drinks are perfect, not to weak or too strong and they remembered us from night to night. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly place to have dinner.

“Best reuben ever!”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Honestly, I had what very well could be the best Reuben I've ever eaten - anywhere. It was real chunks of corned beef (but not too big), sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing on medium-toasted/grilled marbled rye bread. Just outstanding! My husband had the meatloaf sandwich, which he said was great and made even better by the seasoned gravy and garlic mashed potatoes. Nice beers on tap too. Rather cramped inside, but it has a neat, sort of eclectic atmosphere.

“Waitress so phenomenal we thought she was Manager”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

On annual vacation with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren (3, 17 months). Went rainy day shopping in Ellsworth and wanted to grab a quick drink. Hesitated since we had the kids. No need! Our waitress was so genuine and friendly, so phenomenal that we asked if she was the manager or owner. She wasn't. Wonderful about accommodating the kids, serving up icy cold drafts (great selection!) in the blink of an eye. We ended up ordering lunch and it was Down Home cooking good. We thought we were just running in for a quick drink but instead came away with a delightful experience - for everyone. Kudos!

“Nice place”
Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

We stopped here one saturday night on our Bar Harbor/Acadia getaway. The hostess was very friendly. The bartender made very good drinks, they were not weak or watered down!!! The crab poppers were fabulous and so was the jalepeño tartar sauce. The Finn's wings were very good. They only downside was they closed early.
