Description: A bamboo architectural masterpiece with a sweeping thatched roof fashioned in the shape of a banana leaf, which is a symbol of food for the Balinese. Overlooks a lotus pond on one side and the Ayung River on the other, and can comfortably accommodate 80 people seated. Menu presents a fine-dining healing cuisine of ‘Living Foods’ comprising raw vegan fare, and other lightly-prepared plant-based dishes; modern state-of-the-art professionally-equipped kitchen; an upstairs resource centre, lounge and workplace for personal health coaching and healing food training.Fivelements’ Sakti Dining Room is dedicated foremost to healing cuisine. Here, we will show you that you don’t have to sacrifice the beauty and pleasure of food in order to enjoy healthy eating. Over half our selections are living raw food dishes, which are rich in nutrients and sakti healing power. The remaining dishes on the menu are lighter vegetarian preparations that nourish the body and soul.

The location itself is extraordinary. Design features fuse into nature with no distractions, every detail considered; from finely select tea and night torches, to grand yoga shala and bathtubs overlooking the river.
The restaurant is other level. Dishes an expression of plant artistry with vibrant colors and lovely flavours requiring no additions. The 7 course degustation menu was sublime, each dish wonderfully complimented by a palate cleanser. There is no alcohol served yet once the dining experience unfolds, becomes insignificant.
Friendly staff, Chef Felix Schoener an elegant & exciting master of raw cuisine, organically presenting dishes full of flavour and texture. Every bight a journey of the senses, as Felix says, allowing "the soul of the produce to shine."
I thank owner Chicco Tatriele for gracing us with an extraordinary experience. Five Elements represents the fine elements of holistic living.
A mind, body and soul indulgence.

We had their free breakfast - look good but did not taste good. We would rather have something look bad but taste good. My husband had to have coffee one morning, the price would have allowed us 15-20 cups somewhere else. And the cup was only about 3/4 full.
Bring your own if you have to have coffee or shop the local neighborhood stores and get the small packaged coffee that sometime come with sugar and/or cream - depends on your preference. The hotel's coffee is equal to 50-60 of those small packages of coffee.
We tipped the server, which was not necessary as the bill came with built-in service fee already.
However, this hotel is far away from available places to eat.

Dear Dede,

Thank you for your review as we always take them in consideration to improve and first we feel very sorry that you didn't enjoy the breakfast we served as food is a very important element of Fivelements experience and unhappy with the price of the coffee.
Regarding pricing every place has his own policy and costs to take in consideration and I wouldn't compare packaged sugar unhealthy coffee at the little shop next door with the high quality raw organic one we serve at Fivelements.
Maybe your expectations and choice where just not matching what we offer.

Best regards,
Chicco Tatriele

The spa and the restaurant were unbelievably overpriced. We had just landed in Bali and were adjusting to the thousands of rupiah to the dollar. What we thought was in the thousands was in the MILLIONS. Our total for two massages and lunch came out to over $300. A very unhappy surprise, to say the least. We went on to have amazing food and fantastic massages at an absolute fraction of that cost at other locations in Ubud and even Nusa Dua. Not only that but when we made the reservation and they said the shuttle from our hotel was free. It was not free. It was another $30. My husband said his massage was "okay." Then we got the bill! :(

It was one of the most beautiful meals - the different sensations in my mouth going off all at once. I can't describe it any better - you must try it!
