“No longer a hidden gem”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

This used to be a great hidden gem, now too crowded, no parking, no facilities, and the locals make you feel unwelcome. read the article in the last issue of Yankee Magazine.

“Favorite beach”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

There are three major parking areas outside of the private homes. You need a resident pass for 2 of them but you can pay to park near one of them. I guess that's the beauty here - its mostly private and locals. Its a big sand beach, clean with wide open ocean and decent surf. Lifeguards at the public areas. There are a few porta pottys at one place and a bathhouse at the other end...no food, no drink for sale. WORTH getting dropped off by taxi if you don't have the pass. THIS is what Maine beaches are all about. Not crowded, clean, beautiful

“Beautiful views”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This beach is just beautiful. It stretches three miles and its a white sand beach. I felt like I was in the Caribbean, not Maine. It is definitely a little piece of paradise. Parking seemed to be a hassle but we went in the off season. Also, use the bathroom elsewhere before you go, the only restroom is a port-a-potty outside the general store on the main road. Definitely visit if you are in the area.

“Stellar!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

What a beautiful beach! It was a little cool on the day I went, and the beach had a few visitors and dogs.....fabulous for a walk and searching for sea glass! Easy access, and this beach has a ramp for wheelchair access, which is something I haven't really seen.....
