“1st Class Experience”

Had a wonderful meal at the Cape Neddick Inn. I had the fish and chips (plus a very nice local ale), my wife had Parmesan Chicken and daughter the Mac and Cheese. All meals (and beer) were excellent. We arrived without a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in after a short wait. Service was very good and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. Not the cheapest place we ate but probably the best value.

“Local flavor and charm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2012

Last stop before leaving Maine...had to have baked stuffed lobster! It was delicious and the service was personable and adept! Quaint areas around but almost like a ghost town, I liked it though for a change of pace from Ogunquits clogged streets and competitive restaurants!

“Great Food - Wonderful Ambience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2012

We had a wonderful dinner here. The menu is diverse with something to please every palate - seafood, chicken, beef, pasta. We had salads and a main course, all of which were well prepared and presented. The perfect end to the meal was the dessert - one of our party had the berry cobbler (made with Maine berries of the season). I had the coconut cream pie, which was the best of its kind that I'd ever had. The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed with beautiful stone fireplaces to warm things up on chilly evenings. Whether you eat in the bar area or in the big dining room, the experience will be memorable. Service was excellent.

“Average Food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2012

I visited The Cape Neddick Inn in July together with a friend. We had been recommended the place and came with high expectations. We had the bouillabaisse with an extra lobster tail.

This version of the soup was very far away from the Provencal original; the taste was bland, barely a hint of saffron and the fish was overcooked.

The service, the blueberry crumble, the bread rolls and the Pinot Grigio wine from Castello Banfi were all very good but this did not compensate for an overall substandard meal experience.

“Great Food Surprizingly Good Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

On our way to the theater we were accommodated quickly and with friendly service. I had mussels and a Lobster roll. Many other great items on the menu. Nicely renovated atmosphere. The fireplace would give a cozy feeling in the winter.
