We visited The Good Table just before Christmas. The restaurant had a holiday atmosphere and was very cozy, even though the temperature was in the single digits outside. The place gets crowded, so if you can make a reservation, you should. In the cooler months, try to get a table in the main-house part of the restaurant, not the closed-in porch part off the back of the restaurant, which doesn't appear to be as cozy as the front part. I'm told the closed-in porch is nice in the summer, but I've never been seated there.

The food is excellent, albeit pricey, and the wait staff are friendly. The proprietor is usually on the scene, adding her personal attention when she can.

This was a cute restaurant located in CE, which offered a wide variety of options. The staff, including the owner, were really kind and we will definitely return.

Drawn to Good Table by an ad in a local paper for the "public supper". Basically a very good "blue plate special" for $15 with a dollar going to charity (only on Winter Wednesday nights). We had the fried chicken - we are both born and breed southerners - so to say we have ate our weight in fried chicken during our life is an understatement. But, this is by far the best we have had north of the Mason Dixon line! Hot, fresh, juicy - half a chicken served with mashed potatoes (a bit dry - again - keep in mind our southern bias for butter and gravy! Excellent cole slaw. Started off with the winter salad - superb. The creamy tomato soup was excellent. All this with two drafts and we had to get a piece of carrot cake to go! cake was dense and moist with a not too sweet cream cheese icing - just the way it should be! Friendly people, comfortable atmosphere - this place is sure to become a "go to" place for us!

Dinner here on the 10th with Laura as our server. First and foremost is the presence of Lisa (owner) that orchestrates this finely tuned and run family operation. We have been here at least a dozen times over the last few years and never had a bad experience. We opted for appetizers as our meal and not one miss. The wife went with their greek style mussels and the mezza plate. Both were spot on and winner choices. I had the clam chowder and fried oyster sliders. That clam chowder had such a tasty broth which kept me guessing to figure out what was in it. Those sliders were perfect and should be a menu regular. The wife went with coffee and a decent sized slice of decadent carrot cake. Laura was outstanding as our server and made us feel right at home!! Lisa wants all to feel like family here and we do.

This is one of our favorite restaurants when visiting this area. Every meal we have had there has been excellent! On top of regular menu they have daily specials. They have a range forms soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees, etc. They make their own salad dressings which are heavenly! We have had fresh-carved turkey sandwich, steak, lobster pot pie, clam chowder, breakfast- everything has been outstanding.
