Been there on memorial day AND yesterday. Yes it's pricey, but hey, it's lobster. It was very well done and even fries were good (for frozen fries i mean). The view is great, water falling on the rocks... there is little place in the shack itself so think about it twice when weather isn't good (but when the weather is bad there are less people so... we managed to have a place inside by waiting a little bit). Haddock fillet was very good and the lobster roll too.

Not sure why everyone raves about this place. It is a very small and basic shack overlooking the ocean serving a range of fast food seafood and fresh whole lobsters. If the sun is shining and it's warm enough to sit outside then yes, I can see the attraction as you can enjoy the views a lot more. But if cold (as it was when we went) then you are stuck queuing for a table inside and there's very few of them! It's organised chaos and not the cleanest place either with squashed fries on the floor etc. We ordered the lobster dinner and although ok, it was nothing to rave about.
Disappointing overall for the money spent.

We went for the first time today, and sat in light rainstorm eating our food. It was a fun adventure for all.

Okay, so to reiterate what everyone else here has said, the view is beyond spectacular. The food is good, although I need to try other items. I had a lobster, which was somewhat sad for a place called the lobster shack as they only serve pound and a quarter lobsters. The price wasn't hideous, but a lobster shack should have a wide variety of sizes. The fries were okay as were the burgers and hot dog.

I would really like to try the fried clams and a couple other items before making a final judgement, but my review means nothing. Even if the food was the worst, people would still go just to sit by the ocean.

If you are into eating garbage and paying good money for it then this is the place for you. A very scenic location to enjoy a stale rubbery excuse of a lobster roll inside a hot dog bun with sliced sour pickles, a piss of a clam soup and lots of fried crap.

I am not a seafood eater but in my party people had the lobster roll and said it was fantastic. Also serves hamburgers and chicken. But the best think about this restaurant is sitting outside and watching the harbor with the view of several close lighthouses. One of the highlights of my trip. I could have sat there all day watching the waves. Able to climb down to walk along the beach. Seagulls flying around but didn't bother us at all.
