When we arrived we were greeted with sincere gestures from Megan. She gave a brief tour of the main floor and informed us we were upgraded to a suite. My husband & myself were introduced to the Hartstone Inn & Hideaway by Tim Biderman. I grew up with Tim Biderman and we reconnected via facebook. He has such love and enthusiasm for his profession and has high regards for his employer, Mary Jo Brink & Michael Salmon. We had the most fabulous 5 course meal prepared by Tim Biderman. The flavors were so balanced and the presentation was delightful. The dinning room set the mood for romance. Our breakfast used local fruits and hit the spot. The rooms were just spectacular and we were so pleased with the upgrade, we booked another stay. We hope to make the Hartstone Inn & Hideaway our annual favorite place to stay.

Room Tip: Originally we booked the Tuscano room but were so grateful to stay in the Champagne Suite.

We spent 2 nights in the Tally Ho room. Everything about our stay was perfect, the food was delicious, we only had breakfast because we didn't listen to other reviews and make reservations! So, make dinner reservations ahead of time. We did the wine trail and asked around for dinner recommendations, everyone said the Hartstone was the best place. You will not be dissapointed if you stay here! We will be returning.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Tally Ho room. The bathroom is separate from the room, you walk out of your room a...

First, read my review of the Schooner Surprise to learn why we loved Camden over the tourist trap known as Bar Harbor. The Hartstone Inn is a delightful place to stay. The rooms are well appointed but the highlight of being here is to have the 5 course dinner in their restaurant. It is REMARKABLE. The Inn was built around 1810 and has been extensively renovated so that it has modern amenities (including wireless Internet) but still has the charm and characteristics of an old home. We stayed in the Champagne Suite which was very nice. It is a very relaxing and romantic place to be and I highly recommend it for couples. We don't have children to bring here so I am not sure it would be as good for kids although they do have suites with twin beds and we did see others with children. The Inn is right in downtown Camden so you can walk to everywhere. Enjoy the place.

Room Tip: Check out the web site or give them a call and discuss your needs. They will advise you as to what r...

Wasn't planning the stay here but needed overnight lodging for work with little notice. I was treated graciously and the service was quite impressive. Turns out the owner is a renowned chef. SO of course I ate there for supper which was beyond divine. Breakfast too. Couldn't even pronounce what I ate but it was delicious.

Room Tip: I had a Jacuzzi tub in a teeny tiny room. Big enough for me, but I think a bit tight for 2.

We spent 2 nights in the French Thyme Suite at the Hideaway, and it was a lovely experience. Very private with two entrances, and breakfast in the Hideaway was both delicious and relaxing. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and gave us great suggestions on how to explore the area. Dinner was a highlight of course, the pork chop caprese and souffle were delicious! Highly recommend this Inn and be sure to check out their Italy/France/Spain foodie trips, they look amazing.

My husband and I just returned home from an overnght at this beautiful Inn in celebration of our 27th Anniversary. The Inn is perfectly located within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the waterfront and even has a RiteAid located conveniently next door. The Inn was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were some of the softest we have ever slept on. The food was amazing and beautifully presented and we even enjoyed delicious cocktails and hors d'oeurves on the outside patio in the backyard before dinner. The staff and owners were all so friendly and helpful, even asking what our plans were for the day and making suggestions. All in all a wonderful experience! We can't wait to visit again and share our experience with our friends.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Tally Ho room. It was a bit small and the bathroom was across the hall, but we fel...

This by far was one of the finest B&Bs we have ever stayed in. From the moment we checked in, everything was phenomenal. My husband took a cooking class with Michael Salmon, the Innkeeper and was delighted with his imaginative creations. All of our dinners and breakfasts there were nothing less than superb!! The staff does a wonderful job of taking care of the guests; they are all very welcoming. This Inn was one of the highlights of our vacation and will always be a 'memorable' one. This Inn is truly exceptional in every regard. We loved the fact that it was so convenient to everything, Camden is a beautiful place and made us fall in love with Maine!!

Dave & Jan Blankenship

Room Tip: All of their rooms are very nice and updated accordingly.
