I have had another great stay at the Hartstone Inn. I have been twice this fall and calling to make reservations for tomorrow night. The staff is great, rooms are luxurious with great sheets, decor and bathroom. 3 of us took the cooking class which was so much fun. I have stayed in many places in Camden but this is my favorite, the food is delicious and accommodations are superb. Within walking distance of everything in downtown Camden.

Room Tip: I have stayed in the Manor House and the Hideaway house, I like both equally. For those of you who n...

Having just emigrated from Australia, I was looking for a pet-friendly inn to have a catch-our-breath from all the drama of getting here....well, let me tell you, the Hartstone Inn is just the place....our room The Garden Suite looked gorgeous in the photo on the website but let met tell you it far exceeded what we were looking for....the room was superb....and, was right at the car park and so convenient for us with our two little Maltese....I had not read that breakfast was included so that was a really pleasant surprise. The decor throughout is just so beautiful...and, the food, let me tell you it was just incredible....there was even an iPad on the breakfast table for your use. It is right in town and you just go out the door and you can walk anywhere......I have no cons to this gorgeous place....the owners are beautiful people and the staff are fabulous and so pleasant and nothing is any trouble....we are definitely going back, and not just once, please give it a go, you will certainly not be disappointed.....we were there 3 nights and it was, in one word ~ AMAZINGLYINCREDIBLYWONDERFUL!!!!

Room Tip: as we had two little dogs (Maltese) the Garden Suite was perfect, being at the back, we could take t...

This was my first stay at a B&B and it was well beyond my expectations. The Inn was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious (and so reasonable!!!) and the staff where so welcoming and accommodating. Each room has it's own theme. I can't wait to get back and stay again for another wonderful getaway! I would highly recommend this as a must stay location. The town is so charming and lots of fun shopping, and quaint little towns nearby.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sweet Woodruff room in the building across the street from the main house...it was...

We stayed with another couple and both of us enjoyed our stay immensely! The food was exquisite and artfully displayed on our plates. Two of us are gluten free and the meals were prepared as if they did it every day and just as beautiful as our spouses' plates were. The rooms were great and comfortable beds in each one. They had a small living room where we had coffee. The window looked out at the beautiful flower beds surrounding the bed and breakfast. It was close to the downtown areas and easy access to everything! The owners were so friendly and we truly felt like we were at home!

The Hartstone Inn is an outstanding place for a relaxing getaway. It's like coming home-the owners and innkeepers are so friendly and helpful. The inn itself is charming and the food is outstanding. You will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't have dinner there one night. Michael and Mary Jo do things just right. Their innkeepers and staff are exceptional, friendly and pay great attention to detail. The rooms are charming and comfortable. The owners are incredibly innovative and imaginative. Have tea at 3, cocktails at 5, get a spa treatment-whatever your heart desires.

We've stayed at this fabulous bed and breakfast numerous times in the past ten years and have been privileged to both know the innkeepers and watch them enhance our experience with charm, graciousness and the best food you'll ever eat anywhere. Period. The inn is centrally located to a wonderful downtown with quaint shops and a fabulous open waterfront where you can watch beautiful schooners come and go or better yet go out on one for a sunset cruise. In quintessential New England charm, a white steeepled church tower rings out each hour with melodic bell-ringing. There are plenty of very cool cafes and small restaurants where you can grab a on-the-go lunch or ask Chef Michael (James Beard award recipient) at the inn to pack you a lobster picnic basket to enjoy after a moderate hike up Mt. Batte where you can enjoy panoramic views of Camden harbor. The wait staff were fabulous and quickly attended to any need we had which was usually a refill of the fabulous martinis served in the inn's main parlor each evening. The two owners, Mary Jo and husband Michael left no detail to chance and truly know how to make every guest and every visit special. We've traveled to many B&B's in New England and this place is by far the best experience we've ever had.

We didn't actually stay at the inn, we came for their thanksgiving dinner. It was amazing! Excellent food, beautiful location, and the service was wonderful. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive (water never got below half before someone was there to refill it). Probably the best part was that for the main course, rosemary turkey with pecan and apricot stuffing, they came around and asked everyone if they wanted seconds, since it was thanksgiving after all. My wife did end up having more stuffing because it's her favorite part of thanksgiving, but the initial turkey portions were generous enough that hardly anyone needed seconds. We only live an hour away from here so we didn't stay the night, but it was a beautiful and easy to reach location and we plan on coming back for more special dinner events.
