This is the BEST breakfast & lunch restaurant I have ever been to!!! I have traveled through out the USA & many parts of Europe & Asia & this is the Best. The food is homemade & just wonderful. The service is very kind, courteous & fast. Ambience is local & comfortable. A total thumps up!!!

My favorite place to eat when in town. It has all of the classic Maine dishes for breakfast and lunch (late lunches but no dinners). Clam chowder is excellent, seafood plates are great, as is the blueberry pie. Much-appreciated, down-to-earth home cooking.

I just recently returned to Camden, Maine for the third time in as many years. No doubt this tourist town has plenty of restaurants, but for the best value for your money I recommend Mariners Restaurant/Grill on downtown Main Street. It possesses a solid wait staff, and a nice view for those lucky enough to gain a table on their back porch looking over Camden Harbor. But the deal-maker for me was their clams. For those old enough to remember and love the tender sweet clams that Howard Johnson Restaurants used to serve, the clam strips at Mariner’s are a cut above and priced very reasonably. The breading and consistency are just right. Coupled with any of their sides (though the cole slaw and fries are highly recommended) and you have just the right lunch before continuing to explore the shops and trades in Camden. Simple and tasteful in décor, the Mariner’s Restaurant/Grill is the right stop for families and couples wanting to take in Maine on a budget and get great food

It's just fun to eat at Marriner's. It's been in business for a long time, and the folks know what they are doing. We enjoyed the great fish sandwiches and view of the harbor.

In a town full of good but pricey restaurants the Mariner in Camden, Maine stands out for the quality and value of it’s meals. The lobster rolls are as good as any in Maine and cheaper than most, and the classic Maine blueberry pie is outstanding. Ask for ice cream with your pie and you get two scoops plus whipped cream with a perfectly cooked piece of pie with a great flaky crust. It just does not get much better.
Remember they close at 2 p.m., but serve breakfast plus seafood until they close.
