We stayed at Abigail's Inn in Camden on our way up the Maine coast. It was delightful in every way. We were in an addition on the back of the house, where we had a huge room with plush, comfy bed and jacuzzi tub. Everything was well appointed, and spotlessly clean. Beth & Kipp were so accomodating. We arrived having a bit of car trouble and Beth came immediately to our rescue with a recommendation for a trustworthy mechanic (who did, indeed, cure our car). The location was perfect - within walking distance of everything downtown. The house was beautiful - having one of the rare front porches we saw anywhere in Maine. Breakfast was yummy! We got to have baked bananas, too - they were wonderful! I wish we could have stayed longer!

My wife and I had a wonderful, four night, experience at Abigail's Inn - great innkeepers, wonderful food and a beautiful old inn. We highly recommend the John and Abigail Adams Suite. It appears to be recently updated but keeps its wonderful traditional character - perfect. The food was well presented and delicious. The innkeepers, Beth and Kipp, were very friendly and helpful with local area questions.

We've stayed at Camden Bed and Breakfasts for years and have found that they always maintain a very high standard. Our favorite B&B had recently changed hands so we decided to try something different. Friends recommended Abigail's. We have a new favorite now.

What a fantastic find. I have stayed here one weekend every December for the past three years. The location is perfect to walk into town but still have the peace and quiet of the just-off downtown feel. The rooms are just right with everything I could need. The beds are fabulous and one of the biggest challenges with staying anywhere outside of your own bed. They are big, comfortable with fantastic sheets. You could spend all day there! The breakfast is also delightful. Always something a little different than the norm and often using local ingredients. The owners have a wonderful way of making you feel at home without invading your space. They are there when you need them but are never overly in your face. I LOVE THAT. Between the beds, the breakfast, and the owners personalities you have perfection. And of course, Camden is a wonderful little town as well.

Recently stayed one night at the b&b in the Abigail and John room. The inn is quite beautiful with a wonderful front porch to relax on. We enjoyed our room--it was beautuful and was tastefully decorated as was the rest of the inn. The bed and linens were very comfortable.
The innkeepers were friendly and professional. Breakfast was delicious and consisted of bacon, a spinach/egg strata and fresh fruit. There were also snacks and refreshments available at all times. Chocolates were left in the room which was a nice touch.
Our room, the bathroom and the inn in general was extremely clean.
The inn was also within walking distance to town.
The only negative would be if you are a light sleeper because our room faced Rt. 1. The traffic on Rt. 1 was very noisy (a lot of large trucks driving by) and you could hear it even with the windows closed.
We enjoyed our time at the inn.

The distinctive touch of Innkeepers Beth and Kipp is evident everywhere as they personally invite you into their home. The entire house is spotless, yet abundantly covered with huge helpings of tender loving care. The rooms reflect their history, yet are upgraded to today’s modern comforts. Breakfast included such wonders as baked bananas and Dutch Bunny, yet Beth and Kipp say they have never attended a culinary school. They are encyclopedic in their knowledge of the area and its history, and can recommend locations and establishments to meet any of your travel needs. Abigail’s is a delightful inn run by delightful people.
