Although this restaurant didn't take reservations, we got there early to eliminate our wait. At 5 pm, we got seated right away and a delightful evening. The service was accommodating, quick and friendly. We managed to get in one happy hour margarita, which to our surprise was delicious and strong! I ordered the halibut with the blueberry coulis, which was remarkable. My husband ordered the lazy lobster, which was really good. The blueberry cobbler was okay, nothing speculator.

Nothing like enjoying lobster salad on the deck as the boats sail in and out of the harbor! Location!

We were lucky enough to find a table in the bar area so were able to eat right away. Atmosphere and food was great!

We have eaten here many, many times. Usually in the winter. Our mistake was to treat ourselves to lunch ,on the deck, in August. Our impression:
the chef is in AUGUST mode - in other words, throw anything on the plate , they are "tourists" and won't be back. I ordered a dish I have ordered many times, the Chicken Dijon Salad. I am unable to eat greens, so I always order it without . It usually comes tastefully arranged , with the artichoke hearts, cheese , bacon and mushrooms, around and over the grilled chicken.
This time it was as if someone threw a bunch of mushrooms on the plate, sprinkled
some cheese around( hard to find) , added soggy , tiny bacon bits , 2 artichoke hearts, and topped it off with dry , chewy grilled chicken. Unappetizing to look at and to eat.
As a local, it was very disappointing, but we know of other places to go. It is too bad this is turning into a tourist trap.

We ate here four times during our 10 day stay in Camden. Once for dinner and three times for lunch. We never had a reservation, but were always seated quickly outside. I will only sit outside here, because it's so fun to see the boats come in and out.
The service was mostly good. Only once when we had a very young waitress was it disappointing. She may have been learning though.
I would recommend the lobster BLT, the clam chowder, the Haddock chowder...well actually, everything is good...try as many different things as you can, that's what we did.
