4 of us ate at Cappy's for dinner, after the recommendation from our Birchwood Motel owner, and were very pleased. We decided to all order the Lobster Dinner since we hadn't had a chance to eat our lobster in Maine yet, and Cappy's price was reasonable. The service was very good and the meal excellent. I had some blue cheese mashed potatoes that were excellent (if you like blue cheese!). Chowder was also very good. Atmosphere pleasant...a little crowded and noisy, but fun. Definite recommend.

Good Food, but way to pricey for a simple cup of soup and salad, just because it sits in a prime location in downtown Camden.

This cramped little restaurant is delightful. We were pleased to be allocated a booth for just the two of us although seating looked to be a premium commodity. We were skeptical about the DownEast Hard Cider because it comes in a can, but poured in the chilled glasses, it was a smooth and creamy accompaniment to the food. My husband said the clam chowder was just what it ought to be. He also got the fish tacos and was very pleased with the hand battered fresh fish and savory sauce they filled the soft tacos with--salsa on the side. I had the seafood stew--a hearty tomato-based broth full of mussels, crab, fish--all manner of fresh, local tidbits. And very good service.

We ate a very late lunch -- or early dinner. My husband had scallops wrapped in bacon with a wonderful sauce. We have scallops this way many times, but these were special. These were some of the best we have had. I had the clam chowder which I also enjoyed. The view of the harbor was wonderful. We also met two different couples -- one from our state of Texas and another from Massachusetts -- very friendly, very nice. The server was very professional and was also friendly.
