My wife and I have travelled extensively through Europe and to a lesser extent the USA. In general we felt that the general food experience was similar in Europe & the East Coast of the USA to that of our native Australia. However none of this prepared us for the exceptional level of quality experienced by us at "FRESH" restaurant in Maine mid October 2013. This was a sensation - and without doubt the best Lobster we have ever tasted - I made a comment at the time that the chef must really know what he was doing. The combination of "FRESH" and a great stay at the nearby Grand Harbor Inn has actually led us to re-evaluate our travel plans for next year. Rather than using Camden as a stopover on our way someplace else we intend to use Camden as our final destination. The place is that good - and FRESH was a major factor. The only negative at FRESH was that the wait staff were excellent EXCEPT for one young lady who appeared completely disinterested / disengaged. Fortunately we only had a brief encounter with her as all other staff were really first class professionals. In any event the food was so good it could cover a lot of shortfalls - but there was just the one issue and that was quite minor in the overall scheme of things.
