While visiting rockland and Camden for a getaway from our kiddos and everyday life, we were told Long Grain was a great place to eat. We decided to try it out for lunch, which they serve until 3pm. The restaurant is small so plan accordingly since on a Thursday at 1, we had to wait and when we left at 245, it was still packed. The restaurant was clean with simple decor: most chairs didn't match, but I wasn't there for the decorum. They had a decent beer, wine and Saki menu. The menu was very good. My husband and I ordered the spring rolls, pork dumplings, pad Thai with chicken and pad ke Mao. The spring rolls were very fresh and not fried. The dumplings were awesome and freshly made. The pad Thai was excellent and I loved the hint of cilantro, which was used in the rolls as well. Yum! The pad ke Mao was excellent ss well. The noodles melted in your mouth. Great spice. All of the food was extremely fresh and well presented. The service was quite slow but it didn't bother us since we didn't have our kids with us. I would definitely go back again and if your looking for an alternative to your typical Thai, definitely try it out.
