“Great surprise!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

We did not know much about this place... What a great surprise! The service was execellent, the morning breakfast was a treat and we love having a small fridge and Kuerig coffee maker in our room. The rooms were beautiful and the bathrooms were great! A wonderful place to stay in Camden!!

Just returning from an extensive tour of New England with my Quartet, and I wanted to take a moment to write a quick review of the Grand Harbor Inn,in Camden Maine.I can honestly say, that by June,at the end of a 3 month tour,I was quite jaded when it came to accommodations. However,The stay at The Inn was like being welcomed to a well known familiar place, altho Id never been there before,or Maine for that matter. Deb Davis was a splendid hostess with an impressive knowledge of the area, and always seemed to know just what I needed to relax or to go and see.She is as warm and welcoming as can be,and I will definitely stay at the Inn again.Being on the road so long makes one really appreciate the little things that make the difference between a place to stay and being a welcomed guest.I highly recommend staying here, and ask for Deb.She can tell you anything you want to know about the area, and is just...wonderful!

Room Tip: Just tell the hostess what you want, she will do her best to match you with what is available. For ins...

The room was beyond compare. Comfortable bedding and luxurious bathroom including jacuzzi tub. Service was fabulous including the breakfast served in our room in the morning. Staff was very accommodating and informative. The view was spectacular including the harbor and Mt Battie. Never wanted to leave.

Room Tip: We were in room #2 and it was well worth the money.

We spent the weekend at this very comfortable inn. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the harbor. The inn is about 5 year old so the rooms are still in very good condition. We found the bed to be very comfortable, the bathroom to be excellent and the staff to be extremely helpful and nice. If I had to quibble about something, it would be that the breakfast "quiche" was more like a small egg soufflé and looked nothing like the beautiful quiche in the pictures on the website and on the postcard in the room. Also, the thermos of coffee only holds one cup so that if there are 2 people there is not enough coffee. I would recommend that they give a full thermos per person. These are minor complaints. We already booked for a weekend next summer.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Grand Harbor Inn. The room was luxurious and the view spectacular. Everyone in the hotel went out of their way to make our experience special. Breakfast was delicious (and decadent!) which we enjoyed on our balcony overlooking the water. We can't wait to stay here again next year!

We spent two great days in your AMAZING hotel in June. The views were GLORIOUS, the bathroom BEAUTIFUL and the bed was the best we have slept in a long, long time. Breakfast was served in our room each morning which we took to our deck that had views of the harbor. What a way to start your morning. We joked with our host Deb the second night that we didn't want to leave the room even for dinner. Thirty minutes later Deb was our door with two lobster rolls, fries, and a bottle of sparkling wine. She had taken care of us and seemed to know just what we needed. Bravo Deb. We are planning another trip in the fall to see the glorious colors of the coast .

Room Tip: Pick a room that is in the front (water) side of the hotel.

We found the neatest place to stay in Camden right on the harbor. If you go to Camden you must stay at the Grand Harbor Inn. Deb was wonderful! She greeted us and showed us around the hotel. gave us great tips on where to eat and which sights were a must see. We had a few mornings of early tee times and the staff prepared our breakfast to go so that we could take it with us. The breakfast, by the way. were awesome. The Inn provided all the comforts of home including a DVD library and popcorn that we microwaved in our room. The fireplaces in the room added a touch of warmth and romance. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all of our friends. Check it out on Facebook.

Room Tip: Spend the extra and get a room overlooking the harbor. It had a see thru fireplace between the bed...
