“On a clear day you can see Acadia”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Drove up to Camden to see this view, it was a gorgeous day & the view matched it. Looking down on Camden & out to all the islands was just breathtaking. 6.00 gets you in, you can hike up or drive up. Either way it's a must do if you are in the area. Lots of trails to hike also a campground. Restrooms of the "rustic" variety are at the top and in the parking lot. A really cool tower takes you higher up to enjoy the view. Everywhere you turn is a picture perfect shot. There is a very well done display to tell you exactly what you are looking at. Very nice.

“Hike up, well worth it!”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

After a long car ride, we arrived late afternoon in Camden and had time to hike up Mt. Battie
and enjoy the beautiful view. Love the Edna St. Vincent Millay connection too.

“Great view and a hint for side trip”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

The Mount Battie drive is great. Once on top, climb the tower for an even better view. as others have noted, the view of the harbor with sailboats and Autumn colors is great.

On the way into Camden, we took a side road (Recommended by Howard B&B, Boothbay Harbor) and saw Banded Galloway cows. I had never heard of these cows (see pictures). A guy who was also looking at the cows told me the name and added that he had last seen them in The Netherlands. We bought fridge magnet of the Banded Galloway Cows at a store in Camden.
