The Chef's Tasting menu at The Hartstone was the finest culinary experience my wife and I have had in a year or more.

Beware the dinner package, prices are NOT for two people. The food is amazing, but for over 100$ a person on the tasting menu, it is too rich for my blood.I and my fiance thought the price of the dine and stay package was for two people only to be stunned when we got the large bill. The rooms are very small. The beds are soft and the jacuzzi is of decent size but not for two adults. The location is also in the city center so that you can walk around town with ease to take in the local sights.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to review our property. We are so pleased you enjoyed your dinner! I would like to add some additional information regarding our rates. Our 5 Course tasting menu is $55 per person (our Ala Carte menu pricing ranges from $8-$26). Our room rates and dinner packages are ALL for double occupancy. We are located in a beautiful historic home that was built in 1835, utilizing the footprint of this home has allowed us to create 2 rooms that are petite, several rooms that are medium size and the rest are spacious suites. All of our rooms offer the same amenities, multi-course breakfast and attention to detail. Our rates are based on the size of the room / double occupancy, ranging from $135 - $304 in the summer. Our 2 night Gourmet Getaway dinner packages range from ($352-$652) summer and ($312-$462) quiet season. I have re-read all of the verbiage on our website and I didn't find any pricing that was misleading - all is noted as double occupancy. We have made mistakes in the past; If you believe we have made an error on your invoice, please bring it to our attention and we will absolutely make it right. Sincerely, Hartstone Inn

What a charming place to spend some time. This was our 2nd visit to the Hartstone. Every attention to detail has been thought of. Each room is different and though our first stay we liked the room better, this was more economical and just as wonderful. The staff through the afternoon were polite and friendly. Enjoyed cocktail hour in the lounge and a wonderful dinner. Breakfast the next morning included a frittata and when Mary Jo learned my husband didn't like eggs, pancakes were quickly offered him instead

Camden is a must visit town and Hartstone will make it a special and memorable stay. I would love to accompany the hosts on one of their European foodie trips

Reviewed this favorably a year ago, and wanted to say that it is still a great dining destination. It is also a cut above for the money. The attention to detail (why more restaurants don't use a wine aerator for a newly-opened bottle of wine is a mystery) and the quality of the food made it our favorite stop all week. We miss the early-bird dinner special that was offered last summer, but the prices still are comparable to places that just don't have the finishing touches. The menu, which is not extensive, changes weekly. We almost never order pork chops out, but my husband said it was awesome. They did a fantastic job on the beef, and the salad is one of the best we've had. We keep meaning to try their happy hour but just haven't made it in at that time yet. One year I'm going to find the money and go on one of the chef's 'foodie adventures' in Italy or Spain.

We had a very amazing birthday dinner with great 5 course tasters menu. We had reserved for 4 people originally but needed to increase to include 5. The phone contact assured us that they could easily handle that. When we arrived we had a great all around experience. The food ordered was so well presented with the best of every sauce to accompany each lovely course. When a tenderloin was a bit more cooked they gladly gave the guest a perfect one and comped the drinks as well. The service was as good as every course. My husband said he thinks that this meal really stood high on the list of the best even compared to other places in France and Italy. We will return.
