My husband and I stopped here while vacationing one town over. We both had burgers. They were delicious. And the best part, the bun did not become soggy. It stayed firm until last bite. We were curious as to where Karen (yes she owns breakfast diner/pub) but didn't ask. We tried the haddock chowder which was mediocre. It needed more seasoning.
The pub side is small but comfortable and clean. There is a bar area which appeared to be filled with locals getting off work (we had a very late lunch or early dinner). It was inexpensive and good.
I would love to know the bun secret. The burger's were well seasoned and quite tasty.
They had an extensive beer and cocktail list and minimal wine list.
We did want to try for breakfast but did not get a chance. Parking is easy-street only. It has a quiet Main Street atmosphere which sits right across the street from the Calais Visitor Center.
