Chocolate silk pie was delicious. Tomatoes bisque soup was wonderful. Reasonable prices. The best barbecue spare ribs we have had. Good children's menu too. Friendly staff.

Stopped thru on a business trip and wandered in for lunch on a Friday. It was pretty quiet with only a couple of tables occupied - but everyone seemed to be having a good visit...

It's a clean neighborhood pub and bar with a diverse menu. I had a tuna salad wrap which was fresh and crisp - with their homemade baked fries which were also good.

I sat at the bar and was ably served by an enthusiastic Marc who appeared to be the only server on the floor and he was completely in control - even though he was juggling a walk-in party of six. I was impressed all around that this is a solid operation in which the employees are fully and sincerely vested...

This place is a good bet if your looking for a meal with no unfortunate surprises...!!

I recommend it...

The real deal for both seafood lovers and land lovers. Positioned as steak and seafood is so true - there are fabulous choices for both types with extra good fresh home baked desserts and pastas too. A nice warm place with nice, friendly waitstaff and prompt service plus outstanding value of the sweetest Fresh Maine lobster. It has an extensive menu and a full bar to go with your meal.. This restaurant has it all - easy parking and on the main st. Of Bucksport.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such good, fresh food in this restaurant, conveniently located on Main Street, on our way to Mt. Desert Island. We went there the first night on the recommendation of our B&B host at Williams Pond Lodge, but we returned for a second night because we had enjoyed our first dinner so much.

What did we enjoy? Lobster soft tacos with large chunks of fresh, sweet lobster and perfectly cooked scallops the first night; curried butternut squash soup (thick and spicy, but delicious) and fresh salmon cakes the second night: very tasty although we were given contradictory/conflicting information about whether the local salmon was raised or wild. Fresh hot bread and reasonably priced wines by the glass enhanced our experience, as did a friendly, if somewhat harried server.

Our dinner at Mac Leod's compared favorably with several other higher priced dinners we enjoyed in Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor. We would enjoy regular meals here if we lived in the area, so we encourage you to give it a try!
