I can say with 100% honesty, this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. It is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! It's a beautiful place with a very nice breakfast. Everyone that works here was so very kind and considerate. They treated us like we were family! If you can, try to stay here. We hated to leave!

This place is a TOTAL JOKE! I would rather stay in a tent in Afghanistan. The staff is rude and the GM is a complete JERK! The only plus is that the food is edible. However, I completely regret taking my family here. I don't wish this horrible place on anyone. The rooms are small, stink like mold, and even worse, my daughter had to sleep on the floor because the GM wouldn't let us borrow a cot. His excuse was completely unacceptable, saying that putting a cot in the room would be a fire hazzard. All I can say is, I AM NEVER COMING BACK!

This beautiful and historic hotel is everything that you would expect from a classic Maine resort property. The dining room has a diverse menu and the taste and presentation of the entrees was outstanding. The ambiance of the fireplace and the hardwood floors intermixed with nostalgic brick added a warmth to the experience. Additionally, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Thank goodness for the alarm clock because I literally could have slept all morning because of the quiet and peaceful surroundings. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful recommending amazing vistas in the local area. I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone who enjoys a feel for Maine history while staying in a classic hotel. It is an experience that will leave you wanting for more.

This is a beautiful, well kept hotel. The rooms are spacious and up to date with a very nice bathroom. I love the comfortable bedding. The service is amazing and everyone is friendly. There is a really nice gym and a hot tub for exclusive use. The hotel offers a continental breakfast. It's not the typical continental breakfast that you find at every hotel. They have delicious quiche brought in from a baker as well as waffles and other goodies. This hotel isn't found on the main street off the highway but it's certainly easy to find with the use of a GPS. It's certainly well worth it! We have stayed there twice and we will stay there again in the future when travelling to either Freeport or Portland. It's just a few minutes away from the Freeport outlets and a much better price than the hotels in Freeport. Try it out, you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: The rooms on Water Street may be more quiet than the rooms at the back of the hotel where there'...

Luxury hotel accomodations at reasonable price near Bowdoin College. Recently refurbished with all new bathroom fixtures, luxury fabrics, comfortable beds, and old world classic decor. Gorgeous two sided brick fireplace in the dining room. Easy stroll into downtown Brunswick. The hotel front desk clerk recommended the Sea Dog Brewery for dinner, a short walk across the bridge. It was hopping on a Friday night. Many great ethnic restaurants in downtown Brunswick too.

Room Tip: Third floor was very quiet.

We stayed one weekend night in May at the Captain Daniel Stone Inn and my wife and I were both impressed by the accommodations. The room was very clean and it seemed like the carpet and furnishings were new. It was very quiet on the 3rd floor. Parking in the back of the Inn was convenient. The check in staff was very friendly and there were soft cookies available at the check-in desk. The free breakfast was decent and slightly better than most free breakfasts one finds in hotels. The Inn is conveniently located close to downtown Brunswick so walking into town for dinner is a possibility. The price was excellent for all of this.
