Our stay was very good, - a great value - just the ticket for oldtimers living on a less than fixed/decreasing income. I hope the Travelers Inn and quality places like it continue to exist for us. By the way, don't be hard on clerks for not knowing every local place, there are a lot of places in my own town I don't go to and don't know where they are any better than visitors. Consider they might be college students who are from out of town also.

When we decided to visit family in the Brunswick area, we were very pleased to have chosen Travelers Inn for our three-night stay.

AAA rated. family run motel with a great friendly staff, quiet, clean and non-smoking rooms of various sizes was a big factor for us.

Enjoying a continental breakfast and meeting fellow travelers from all over the USA was also a special treat for our party of four.

Travelers Inn is close to great seafood restaurants and beach areas, as well as other attractions.

I stayed one night at the Travelers Inn when taking my daughter back to school at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Only five minutes from campus, it's a small AAA-rated two diamond motel and a throw-back to the ones I stayed in with my parents decades ago, but it was clean and adequately furnished. My room had a comfortable queen bed and a good size TV with bedside remote holder, plus a frig, microwave, table, desk and complete bath. Towels were a little small and not terribly soft, but certainly good enough for one night. It was quite warm outside, but the window-style air conditioner cooled the room well. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly when I checked in, and a small continental breakfast in the lobby was available when I checked out--coffee, cereal, bagels, donuts and muffins. Most importantly, I saved at least $20-$25 by staying at this older motel rather than in one of the area's other newer hotels. For my needs, it was just fine, and I will probably stay at the Travelers Inn the next time I am in Brunswick to visit my daughter.

Good Value for an overpriced area... I traveled 8 miles up the road from Freeport and saved $25. This is an older motel, thus the rooms are 50% larger. I found the rooms to be well appointed (fridge, microwave, hair dryer - except no coffee maker - they offer free continental breakfast) and very clean. The service at the front desk was great and check-in quick and painless. On the downside, you are on Hwy 1 thus the traffic noise is intense and I recommended an upstairs room as you can hear the occupants above you walk the floors.

Basic hotel with sparse accommodations. Double beds are shorter and not as large as a regular double. Price is right for clean accommodations. Visited same hotel 3 years ago and it seems much improved with updated furnishings, mattresses and an improved offering at breakfast.

We were visiting family in Brunswick while significant renovations were taking place at their house, so we booked in to the Travelers Inn. We hadn't been to Brunswick in years, but knew the basic layout, and the Travelers Inn was in a generally convenient location. We stayed for six nights. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom and a fridge, which was very handy. A couple of mornings, we were awakened early (0730) by cleaning staff moving their equipment around the parking lot.

We didn't take advantage of the breakfast on offer in the main office, but it looked decent. We did use the free wireless a few times, and that was a nice perk.

Basically, we wanted something simple and conveniently located while we visited family, and the Travelers Inn fit the bill. The price was very good, the bed comfortable, and the location great.

As one of the other reviewers said, it can be a little fiddly turning out of the parking lot of the motel to get in to Brunswick (ie., turning left!) We experienced that as well, but there are short-cuts you can follow by turning right, too.
