Such a fun place to go, reminds you of places you've seen on TV shows. The service is great and the food is fantastic. What a great experience.

“Always top rated.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

Always tops. It's not spring in Brunswick until Fat Boys opens for the season. The old fashioned booths are a little tight if you have a belly. The bathrooms are also a little awkward. The work on a cash only basis. There is an ATM inside if you need it, but the wait staff can't carry credit card readers so it makes sense. Typical drive-in faire. I thought of putting the top down on my car once but the seagulls changed my mind. Oh well.

“Ignorant and Rude”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2012

The mentality at this place dates right back to the era of the decor. I have a sensitivity to some commercial frying oils, and after ordering and paying for a sandwich, I asked to sample a couple of fries so I could determine if they would be okay for me. Rather than turn around and quietly grab me some with a napkin, the gaping-primate teen at the register said she couldn't because they had a policy and she had to ask the manager. Obviously not much for book-learnin', the middle-aged woman who answered the cashier's call made a big deal and broadcast my private medical business to everyone within earshot, admonishing me, "We don't give out fries." When I objected to this treatment in a civil manner, she snorted and said, "You have a problem." Well, yes, I do. If I eat a bunch of food fried in certain oil blends, I have a very unpleasant night in store, easily avoided when the restaurant staff have at least two brain cells to rub together and have taken the trouble to go to school. The food in this old joint is okay, but not worth the humiliating treatment dished out to those with the tiniest of needs unfamiliar to the severely limited and lacking minds that dwell here. I wonder if they have special events like Make Fun of the Handicapped Day.

“It's hard to eat in a car”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2012

It is a trip back in time to go to this drive in. "Turn your lights on for service" is their motto. The menu is burgers, fries, drinks, frappes, etc. They say on their menu that their BLT sandwich using Canadian Bacon is famous coast to coast. We ordered one BLT, one lobster roll, sweet potato fries, frappes. The prices are very reasonable. The portion sizes are correct so given the super sizes everyone is used to the servings seemed small. It is hard to eat in a car. We semi-enjoyed the experience and probably would return in the future.

“service to your car”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2012

It's like the old time diners. you park your car with your lights on, they come give you a menu, and you order and the bring a tray that clips to you window and you eat in your car, there are a few tables and bathrooms inside if you prefer. Love the frappes!.
