Very friendly with good food and great selection of beers, ales and stouts. The handblown glass beer pulls are really beautiful.

“Not your ordinary pub...”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

36 microbrews on tap - and a number of others available in bottles. They don't carry any mass-produced beer, so if you want a Bud, this is not the place for you. However, if you want to try a number of great microbrews, this is definitely the place for you! A nice addition is the fact that the food was really good too!

“Great Beer ... terrific Reuben”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

We read mixed reviews about the place, so were hesitant to try it. The desk person at our motel spoke highly of it so we gave it a whirl. We were both extremely pleased with the food and the beer ... the bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. If you are basically a domestic beer drinker, this is not the place to go. The Lion's Pride is for those who don't mind paying extra for first class craft brews. We were lucky in that during the week we were in Brunswick all Maine made beers were $5.00 a glass vs. the normal $7 to $9 each. Allagash Black is an extremely smooth Belgian style stout that I liked very much. Being from Fort Collins, CO where we have none microbreweries, I am very fussy about beers/ales/stouts/porters. This winner was highly recommended by the bartender after I described what I liked.

The Reuben was outstanding ... very flavorful ... lean corned beef ... large portion ... cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed her breaded wings as well. The french fries were also excellent.

We sat at the bar so the service was very good ... not many others were in the place on a Thursday night right after the Memorial Day weekend.

Not a cheap place ... but one that we truly enjoyed and recommend.

“No service, no business.”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

Went in for a late lunch about 1:30 and at first wondered if they were open as it looked like it was closed. There was only one table of 2 people in the bar area and the rest of the place was empty. We were told to sit anywhere and took a seat at a table in the bar area by the tall, blond hostess. There was no one else in the restaurant except for the one table and the hostess was standing in the entry way and clearly saw we were ready to order. She looked over at us several times but made no move to come to our table. After waiting 10 minutes for her to come to take our order, we left. Other impressions include that the floor was sticky with what I assumed was spilled beer from the smell of the place. With so many good choices in Brunswick, it's no wonder why this is ranked so far down the list on Trip Advisor is remarkably unimpressive. Clearly, this lion has no pride.

“Terrible business owners...”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

The food was okay and service was great but saw the owner being terrible to all the servers. Her attitude towards them was shocking. Makes me not want to give business to someone so rude. I could literely hear her screaming from the kitchen.
