The best for quiet, waterfront location on a large Maine coast inlet (a bay), superb breakfasts, beautiful well kept up home, sea captain's house built 1830's, comfortable bed, relaxing guest porch and living room, very gracious host. My husband and I swam off the dock which can only be done at high to mid tide. Very fun.

Middle Bay Farm is a wonderful alternative to the hotels in Brunswick. It's a short fifteen minute drive from the B&B to the center of town. We enjoyed a lovely stay in the Star Room. The main house has four guest rooms, and there are additional rooms in the building next door. Our room was very spacious and clean, and like the entire home, beautifully decorated. The owner prepares a fabulous breakfast each morning. Her baked goods are homemade, and hot items can include creme brulee french toast, mini quiche, or a delightfully fluffy egg dish. The view of the bay from the rooms in the main house, and the front porch, is spectacular. We look forward to returning!

My wife have been staying at Middlebay Farm since October 2000 when our daughter was at college in town. We spent two nights there at the beginning of July and stayed in the house for the first time in many visits(previously we stayed in the sail loft).
The house is lovingly furnished with furniture from the innkeeper's family, which she told us about on this visit.
Phyllis Truesdell, deserves a gold medal since she has been the innkeeper there for
all 27 years. Her breakfasts are wonderful, we had crepes and fresh fruit along with excellent baked muffins. The setting is on the shore of Middle Bay where you cam watch clambers at low tide and seagulls dropping clams on the rocks to get the clam.
It is on of the most peaceful places I have stayed at.
It is close to town where there is the Maine State Music Theater, Bowdoin International Music Festival and a farmer market on the town square in summer. All year there are the Bowdoin art Museum and Peary Artic Museum on the Bowdoin campus. For civil was history buffs there is the Joshua Chamberlain house.

We spent 3 nights at Middle Bay Farm. What a great place to unwind and just enjoy the splendid weather and beautiful scenery. The house sets near the water so with a cup of coffee and a comfortable bench viewing the bay you can just enjoy the changes going on with the changing of the tides. Then it is off to a delicious breakfast and an enjoyable visit with Phyllis. If you need suggestions or questions she has answers.

Stayed 2 nights at Middle Bay Farm Bed and Breakfast. This is an old farmhouse that has been updated very nicely with 4 bedrooms (each a different motif) with a large flat screen tv and cable ready and also a VCR in each room. Each room faces the bay which ultimately makes its way to the Casco bay.It is very quiet and rustic and so much beauty surrounds the home.So many little touches in the room right down to candies on the bed.

The owner is Phyllis Truesdell and she could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. And she is a great cook.Breakfast is a real treat. And she herself is a delight to just talk with.

Boothbay Harbor is less than an hour's drive (taking you thru beautiful and historic Bath,Me) with lots of shops and restaurants and gorgeous scenery.A typical Maine coastal village.Have a steamed lobster there!

Brunswick is the nearby town and well worth an afternoon walking around.typical New England coastal village.Lots of shops and restaurants and views of the many boats

The owner is Phyllis Truesdell. What a delight she is and what a cook! My breakfast one morning was
