“Another wonderful stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

We have been staying at the Brunswick Inn B&B for over 10 years, through several owners.
Our recent stay in August was lovely, as always, our room (#6) was lovely and recently renovated.
The only suggestion is that there was no closet to hang clothes, only hooks on the back of the main door. Perhaps bringing back an Armoire would be helpful.

Our hostesses could not be nicer. Breakfasts there are lovely and quite filling. We met lovely folks during breakfast. It is such relaxed place.

There is a common refrigerator/freezer on the main floor in which guests can store wines, cheeses and such. I would ask that the current owners have wine glasses available to guests. We had to use our bathroom glasses for our wine.
Brunswick itself is a great town to explore. The Farmers Markets across from the Inn have wonderful offerings of food and flora.
We will hopefully return next year to stay at the Inn and take a day or two sail with our dear friend Kevin Harris, who moors his boat at the of Robin Hood Marina. He has a sweet Hinckley Pilot 35 boat. Kevin knows the area so well and is the perfect host for a day sail or more.

Enjoy the Inn, despite all the recent owners, it retains its sweetness.

Room Tip: If on a Friday , ask to have a room that is not over the bar.

This is our 3rd stay. One of the most important things about coming into a hotel is how one is greeted by the front desk. This place understands that. We were warmly greeted, shown to a lovely king room on the second floor of the carriage house, and given advice on where to have dinner. Abby was warm, professional and charming. The rook was comfortable and quiet.
And the location can't be beat. A 5 minute stroll to Bowdoin College, and 5 minutes in the other direction takes you to all the great restaurants on Maine Street. Not to mention the front porch with rockers, and the fab breakfast. Recommended!

With family in from California to visit Dad in Brunswick, Maine--we made reservations first week of July 2013. Rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. However, the bath could have been updated. Home cooked breakfast, freshly made each morning, was a delight. Proprietor and all staff members were very friendly and helpful without being overwhelming. The only suggestion I would make is to add afternoon tea to an otherwise perfect inn!!

Room Tip: Rooms 2 & 3 on the second floor are good sized and overlook the Village Green.

Went to Brunswick, Maine this week (July 2013). Found The Brunswick Inn on the Internet, and when I called to make inquiries and a booking, the staff member could not have been more pleasant or helpful. The Inn consists of a large, charming historical building and two smaller houses just off Maine Street, a few blocks from the Bowdoin College campus (which is featuring a beautiful Prendergast exhibit at their art museum this summer). Our room was clean, with a modern bathroom and a huge four poster bed set against periwinkle blue walls. New England charm at its best. For breakfast (included with room) we were offered omelets, freshly-made muffins, light, perfect pancakes, non-greasy bacon. The main building has a large verandah with Adirondack chairs and a secluded patio. The gardens on the grounds were well-kept without being over-groomed. Quaint, pretty, pleasant. (There is also a full bar.) This was a combined business/couples getaway and the location was perfect for both purposes.

The Brunswick Inn is conveniently located near Bowdoin College. During our 2 night stay we interacted with at least five staff members and the proprietor. Each one was friendly and very helpful. I did not give it a five star rating because it is not luxurious and some may expect that w five stars. Our room was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast both mornings was yummy and several choices of entrees were offered. The window air conditioner kept the room cool enough. Very good restaurants are located within easy walking distance.

Room Tip: There is no pool or fitness center but I can't un click so I gave it an average.

The staff and owners are very nice. Stayed in the carriage house which is just behind the main house. The Inn is very nice and there is a park or green space right in front of the main house.
Pros- location, owners, staff, value and breakfast
Cons- my room... It needs updating

The Inn is warm and I think the owners are extremely nice.

We arrived on a Friday and were greeted and helped to our room. We stayed in room 7 which is on the third floor and has a single tall ceiling down the middle of it. You have to understand that my husband and I prefer the top floor of any b 'n b and this did not disappoint us. It is a long room with a king size bed, TV, sofa, desk, dresser, etc., but you can only walk down the middle of the room if you are tall, which we are. We loved the atmosphere. The bath has a claw foot tub plus a shower. You enter the room on the second floor and then take the staircase up to the third. There is air conditioning in the room but we preferred to open the windows. We sat for a while on the porch and rocked to enjoy a wine and beer from their bar. Then we were helped to select a restaurant for the evening. Our hostess made the reservation for us. Our TV did not work when we arrived but while we were at dinner it was set to go for us. Breakfast was great every day. It was extremely busy when we were visiting and families did not leave after their breakfast, they stayed to talk so we preferred to eat our breakfast in the outer room. Our hostess was from Spain and delightful. Breakfast was lovely and there were many choices. My only complaint is no one introduced themselves. A minor complaint, but it was probably our fault as much as theirs. We had so much fun walking down Maine Street to eat, drink, and shop. A perfect weekend for us.
