“A+ class act! A gem in the mountains.”
Reviewed February 13, 2012

Getting to SMAC is a trial. To say it is off the beaten path is an understatement. However, once you're there, settle in. Wish we could have made it in time for dinner, but we arrived only for the show. The staff were extremely welcoming and accomodating and got us settled in to excellent seats. We love the venue and I'm highly appreciative of the effort that Carol Noonan has put into brining this special little creation into being. The talent coming in is phenomenal. Now, if someone could just invent teleporting, we'd be there all the time. This was our first trip and my navigator got car sick trying to keep up on the maps. Probably frost-heave February was not the best time to have a go at it, but we could not say no to the band that was playing.

Hidden in the hills, this is a first quality establishment. Gorgeous dramatic building. Food was superb from appetizers to entrees to deserts. Do not pass up going to this place

“our wedding venue”
Reviewed October 17, 2011

We had our wedding here in September 2011. A gorgeous venue and a great on-site staff. This is a small town operation and the staff is very busy; if you don't hear back from folks immediately, be persistent! It's worth it! The day-of was perfect. The ceremony was well-accommodated. The cocktail hour and the horse and buggy were fun and easy -- and the food and drinks were abundant. Dinner was delicious and piping hot. All of our guests felt welcomed and the two gorgeous post and beam barns were the perfect combination of rustic, fun, romantic, and unique. Thank you to Carol, Hannah, and crew!!

“No better place to hear music and enjoy good food!" . Worth the trek. A real find!”
Reviewed September 1, 2011

Stone Mountain Arts might possibly be the best , most unique, music venue in the country! It is run by Carol Noonan, a musician who cares and knows from experience what both the audience and the artist wants. She gets it right on all fronts. Extremely nice staff, great ambiance, fantastic food and the music is top notch, whether a big name or "unknown". Go there and enjoy! A real treat and retreat. We live out of town...in fact out of state!

“A Uniquely Amazing Place”
Reviewed July 28, 2011

We live in eastern Maine, more than two hours away from SMAC, so it wasn't easy to find the time to visit. But we finally made the trek and it was so worth it. It's a gorgeous venue in the middle of nowhere that has a wonderful ambiance. If you arrive early, you can have a drink in the newly renovated barn, which has a warm, homey feel. For dinner before the concert we had their salmon chowder, which was excellent, and the servings were huge. Seating is mostly at long tables, so you're likely to be next to and across from strangers, but it feels like being at a great party at a friend's house. The concert itself, which takes place right after dinner, in the same room, was terriffic and I can't imagine a better place to see live music. We spent the night at a nearby Inn, rather than make the drive home, and vowed to come back at least once a year, from now on.
